Cesar Millan Engaged To Longtime Girlfriend And Former Stylist Jahira Dar
Dog whisperer Cesar Millan is engaged to longtime girlfriend Jahira Dar. the Cesar 911 star announced his good news on Instagram Monday morning.
“I’m so happy!!! She said yes!!!” Cesar captioned a photo of them together, with him kissing Dar’s hand. “I always knew that I wanted someone to share my life with who was sweet, adventurous, honesty, and loving, but I got more than that! She is beautiful inside and out, extremely supportive of my entire family and me… AND SHE LOVES DOGS!”
Cesar spoke with People magazine after announcing his engagement.
“After six amazing years together, I am so happy I asked her to be my wife,” Cesar told the magazine. “Thankfully, she said ‘yes’! My pack is complete!”

Cesar told the publication that Jahira came into his life at a time he needed it rebuilt following his divorce.
“Jahira came into my life at just the right time,” Millan said. “She was instrumental in helping me rebuild my life and my family after my divorce and break from the Dog Whisperer television show. She is compassionate, gentle, instinctual, spiritual, intelligent, fun, strong, adventurous, and loving.”
He added, “She embodies the principles that I prize the most – honesty, integrity and loyalty. On top of all of that, she loves dogs and mother nature just as much as I do.”
Cesar Millan got engaged to his sweetheart on March 24. A source tells People that the engagement marked the end of an “elaborate surprise.”
Dar is an actress and former stylist and wardrobe consultant. She was taken by surprise when she and Cesar were vacationing in Spain. Dar thought they were headed for Italy next, but Millan fooled her when he arranged for them to go to Greece.
The pair dined at the top of Mount Lycabettus in Athens, where Millan proposed to her. They had a killer view of the Acropolis with a violinist playing in the background.
“I wanted the proposal to be special and to surprise her, so I spent months planning our trip to Greece,” Millan said. “I am still proud of myself that I never gave it away!”
Millan was previously married to Ilusion Millan, whom he split from in 2010. They were married for 16 years and had two sons, Andre and Calvin. Things started taking a turn for the worse when Ilusion filed for divorce. Soon after that, Cesar’s favorite dog and canine training mentor, “Daddy,” died at the age of 16.
The divorce was costly for Cesar. He was ordered to pay Ilusion a one-time amount of $400,000, monthly spousal payments of $23,000, and another $10,000 for monthly child support. He was making $2 million a year as the star of The Dog Whisperer.
The TV star found also himself nearly bankrupt after some unfortunate business deals. When everything seemed irreparable, Cesar reportedly took a combination of pills and attempted suicide, according to Divorce Debbie.
It was around that time Cesar found the love of his life in Jahira Dar. Within two years, he had picked up the pieces of his life and moved on for the better. In 2012, it was rumored that he was planning to marry Jahira, a 28-year-old beauty of Dominican origin, the report stated.
According to the article, Cesar met Dar at the Dolce & Gabbana store where she was working as a salesperson. The couple and Cesar’s younger son, Calvin, moved into to a five-bedroom house with a pool.
Cesar Millan’s life has turned around substantially since his dark days. It’s unknown what the wedding date is for the self-taught dog expert and his fiancee.
