Kourtney Kardashian, Khloe Kardashian, and Kim Kardashian have become adept at using the power of social media to expand their fan base. But have the Kardashian sisters also become experts at using Photoshop to fake those whittled waistlines and toned bodies? That’s the accusation as Kim, Khloe, and Kourtney have all recently been slammed by fans and experts for turning to Photoshop rather than workouts and diet to transform their bodies for selfies.
Kourtney is the latest Kardashian to come under fire for using the power of editing tools to transform her photos. Some followers pointed out that both she and her sister Khloe looked noticeably different.
“You look so different now,” noted one fan.
But then others focused on how Khloe looked in a photo showing the two sisters together, particularly commenting on the way that famous Kardashian caboose appeared noticeably diminished in the picture.
“Where’s Khloe a**?” asked one baffled person, comparing how she looked in the past to today.
But some were more blunt in singling out the reason for the differences in how the Kardashian sisters appeared on Instagram to TV and the media.
“Weird. Too much photoshop,” summed up one such follower.
As for what the experts think? Celebrity photographer Alan Barry told Radar Online that after analyzing a recent supposedly candid picture showing Kourtney and her perfect posterior, he feels she is using Photoshop to deceive her fans when it comes to her derriere.
For Kardashian’s birthday trip to Iceland, Kourtney celebrated turning 37 with a variety of selfies.
However, when Barry analyzed the photo, he revealed signs that Kardashian used Photoshop for her thigh as well as to whittle her waistline.
“Her right thigh has been badly blurred,” explained the celebrity photographer. “When you blur an area you kill the noise… under her left butt cheek and her whole right thigh. There are some very questionable artifacts around her waist on the left, and the right. The blackness has weird shading that would result when an area has been badly edited.”
As for Kourtney’s waistline, Barry detected signs that the photo editing to make her tummy look more toned hadn’t even been fully finished.
“The shadow on the left side that literally disappears as it traverses downward. The last couple of stripes on the edge of garment appear to float out into space as if there was an edit that wasn’t completed, such as pulling in her waist,” he added. “Overall, this image is an embarrassment.”
And many of those commenting on the photo agreed, throwing shade.
“Photoshopped smh. Do you do it together as a family? Did you take a class together to get certified in photo shop?” questioned one sassy user.
Khloe has experienced so much shade that after numerous slams accusing her of using Photoshop to fake her fab abs, Kardashian even took down the picture, noted Too Fab.
The photo focused on Khloe’s flat stomach, and she credited her personal trainer in the caption.
“I just trying to be better than I used to be. I compete with myself,” wrote Kardashian on the original photo. “Thanks @gunnarfitness for kicking my a** today.”
After fans credited Photoshop rather than a trainer, however, Khloe took the picture down.
“If only hatin burned calories how dope yall would be,” Kardashian slammed those who had criticized her photo edits.
Kourtney’s and Khloe’s sister, Kim, has not been neglected in the battle to accuse the Kardashian sisters of harnessing the power of Photoshop to improve their appearance. When Kim shared that nude selfie that received a backlash, among those slamming Kardashian were followers who contended that she had edited the picture to shrink her waistline, pointed out Hollywood Life.
I think we would all have Kim k's body if we knew how to use photoshop as good as she does????— d (@dxnara) March 7, 2016
The worst thing about that Kim k pic is that the photoshop is horrendously visible— Esmé (@esmerosew) March 7, 2016
And an expert pointed to the signs of photo editing.
