Bella Thorne, Female Deadpool? Former Disney Star Wants To Join Superhero Craze

Shake It Up star Bella Thorne has expressed her desire to fill in the coveted role of female Deadpool.

After Ryan Reynolds successfully portrayed the strange Marvel character, people are already looking forward to the female version of Deadpool, which was highlighted in comics.

In Bella Thorne’s interview with Moviefone, she said this is her target role if she were ever casted as either a superhero or villain.

“Honestly, if I could just play a female version of ‘Deadpool’ — any character that’s a female version of Deadpool — I’m so down!”

Bella Thorne is quite fixed on her ideal superhero character. She said that she is keen on playing any “bada** Marvel character.”

“Any type of bada** female in live-action, like Cora is in this movie. I also like playing roles that are very rebellious and real. So it’s good when you really show teenagers for how they actually act and how they actually talk.”

Bella Thorne did not actually stray away from coveting badass characters, as she is a part of the 2016 film adaptation of the game Ratchet & Clank.

She plays Cora in the animated film. Bella Thorne said she is very familiar with the game version of the movie and that she was hoping they pick her to join the casts.

“I just always have wanted to be a part of a video game. I watched it growing up. I never played them because I was just really bad. I was terrible. But, I thought they were dope, so I’d just watch my brother play them all the time.”

Bella Thorne’s character, Cora, has impressed the Disney star. She said that Cora had integrity “and the fact that she was just in your face” made it a more appealing character to play. Thorne is a fan of characters with bold attitude, and Cora is just one of those roles. She said that she can resonate very well with these characters because that’s a part of her personality.

Bella Thorne After Disney

Moving away from that child actor career is challenging for anyone. With a younger fan base, child actors have a hard time to transition to adult roles. This has happened to Miley Cyrus, Demi Lovato, Selena Gomez, and other Disney stars.

In her interview with Nylon, Bella Thorne said she’s trying to explore more adult roles. Aside from Ratchet & Clank, Thorne also worked on a different project, Shovel Buddies. As Kate, she is the girl crush of the character Jimmy, played by Alex Neustaedter.

Though the film is quite targeted on teen audiences, Thorne said her first line was actually “Choke on a c*ck.”

Filling in on adult roles was also an adjustment to her. There were times when she tried removing vulgar words, but the director would cut the shoot and remind her that she had forgotten to include the word “f*ck.”

“I was like, ‘But there are two prior fucks in the same sentence so I’m just curious if we need the last one.’ And they were like, ‘We do.’ “

As for the fame, she said that it would depend on the actor. There are a lot of people in Hollywood, but she is the type of person who do not let people push her around. Some might even consider her a “b***h” because of her dominant persona, but it is not true, according to the star.

“If I was a guy saying the same thing, he’d be like, ‘Oh, that’s a hot guy. He really sticks up for himself. He’s so manly.’ But when it’s a girl, it’s the exact opposite.”

Bella Thorne’s sassy voice will be heard in Ratchet & Clank, which hits the theaters on April 26.
