Cheryl Burke Opens Up About Dating Other ‘DWTS’ Dancers And Says Maksim Chmerkovskiy Is ‘A Good Kisser’

Dancing with the Stars former pro dancer Cheryl Burke livened up some conversation when she made a few eye-opening admissions.

People recapped an interview Cheryl had on the Allegedly with Theo Von & Matthew Cole podcast. It wasn’t just her unvarnished thoughts about Season 4 partner and contestant Ian Ziering that astonished listeners. The ex-DWTS star also revealed that she’s been involved with other pro dancers of the show and that Maksim Chmerkovskiy, in particular, is a “good kisser.”

Burke left the show 2014 and has since been open about her history.

In the podcast, Cheryl reveals that all of the dancers know each other well and that she’s been acquainted with Maksim since she was 12.

“I think we all dated each other at one point,” Burke shared. “All of us dancers, we’ve known each other – back to [Maksim Chmerkovskiy], we’ve known each other since I was 12 and he was like maybe 15, I think he is 3 years older than me, so ya know, things happen.”

Maksim is now engaged to DWTS pro Peta Murgatroyd. Cheryl notes that she and Maksim never dated, but said “he was a good kisser. Maks is a good kisser.”

Cheryl said she never did more than dance with Derek Hough, but that things were moving along pretty good with Mark Ballas.

“I think we tried to have fun,” she said. “Ya know, stuff happens. People interrupt or, you know, something happens.”

Kissing and dating fellow dancers of DWTS aside, also admitted to Googling almost every single partner she was paired with if she didn’t know who they were. She mentions that Ziering wasn’t one of them because she was a big fan of Beverly Hills 90210.

Unfortunately for Cheryl, her Dancing with the Stars partner from 90210 wouldn’t be one of the heartthrobs she had in mind!

“By the way I also don’t know anybody, so I would have to Google almost every single partner of mine – other than Ian Ziering because I used to watch 90210. My mom, my crazy Asian mother, would let me watch an hour a week, and I would watch 90210, 8 p.m. on Wednesdays. I’m like ‘Why, couldn’t you give me Luke Perry or Jason Priestley? Why you give me that guy?’ I know he’s on 90210, but give me Screech [Dustin Diamond].”

Going back to her experience with Ian Ziering, Cheryl danced with the 90210 star in 2007. She lobbed a rather harsh statement about him when she claimed that he “made me want to slit my wrists.” According to the report, she issued an apology on Twitter for using “a phrase that seemingly makes light of suicide.”

She wrote, “I never meant to hurt anyone or to trivialize the topic. I was out of line and for that I apologize.”

Other than Ziering prompting Cheryl to take such a drastic action metaphorically speaking, the dancer said that the 90210 star’s conduct on Celebrity Apprentice showed his true colors. He was eliminated from the show purportedly for his conduct. Cheryl added that she begged producers of the show to eliminate them sooner than Episode 4, but they weren’t willing to do that since the reality series works off votes from viewers and judges.

Ian Ziering hasn’t reacted to Cheryl Burke’s comments.

Sometimes celebrities feel it’s best to take the high road and not acknowledge something said negatively about them. Feuds ignite if too much bantering back-and-forth get started. Other times stars will wait out the storm before responding to unfavorable accusations made against them.
