Dorinda Medley Defends Her Relationship With John After Bethenny Frankel Backlash

Dorinda Medley’s friends on The Real Housewives of New York are not really supportive of her relationship with John Mahdessian. All last season, Medley’s co-stars kept saying that she could do so much better, as he was spotted out in New York doing various business deals and hanging out with other women. And this season, it sounds like Bethenny Frankel will speak her mind about the dry cleaner, who seems to be a bit too pushy.

According to a new Bravo report, Dorinda Medley is now revealing that she doesn’t really pay too much attention to her critics. What’s important to her is that she’s happy in her relationship and she doesn’t really care too much about what the other ladies say about her and her relationship. On Wednesday’s episode of the show, Bethenny will share her thoughts about John and Dorinda won’t be happy about it.

“Listen, it’s a season of questioning again and giving us our two cents, but we don’t really care about it. We love each other,” Dorinda has revealed about her relationship with John, which has been featured on The Real Housewives of New York.

“We don’t,” Dorinda revealed when asked about how she deals with her friend not liking John. She added, “I think I really managed to draw some very strong lines in the sand this year.”

According to Us Magazine, Dorinda Medley will hear Bethenny talk about her relationship on tonight’s episode of The Real Housewives of New York. Apparently, John likes to pitch business ideas with Frankel when Medley isn’t around and he even asked Bethenny for her phone number. And that didn’t sit well with the Skinnygirl founder, who called him out on it. She believes that he should have asked Dorinda about the phone number before continuing to inquire about her number.

And it sounds like Dorinda doesn’t care about her haters, as she just wants to be happy with her boyfriend. While the two have been together for four years, she doesn’t really discuss the backlash she’s experiencing from her Real Housewives of New York co-stars.

“The truth of the matter is, we don’t need to say anything because we’ve been together for four years. Four years! As we know from our castmates, some of their relationships and marriages haven’t lasted for four years,” Dorinda said to Bravo, slamming Bethenny Frankel, who was only married a few years. “So I think that it’s fair to say the longevity of our relationship speaks for itself.”

Of course, Dorinda Medley’s daughter Hannah Lynch was rumored to not like John, either, and Dorinda guessed that her daughter just wasn’t ready to move on. But it sounds like she’s changing her mind, as she can see how happy her mother is with her boyfriend.

“Well honestly, I feel like that was a little blown out of proportion in the sense that it’s never been an issue with John and stuff, but it’s something that I think my mom really worries about because she cares about me so much,” Hannah told The Daily Dish, according to Bravo.“I think John’s great. I never had a problem with John.”

Hannah admitted that it was hard to see her mother move on with someone else, but she just wants to see her mother happy at the end of the day.

“At the end of the day, my biggest interests lie in my mother’s happiness,” she said about Dorinda’s relationship, adding, “I want to support her. And quite frankly, if [John is] somebody that makes my mother fulfilled, content, takes care of her, loves her, and makes her feel safe, then absolutely, on with John. Let’s do it. That’s my feelings. It’s not about me.”
