Khloe Kardashian Finally Ready To Divorce Lamar Odom, What Was The Final Straw?

Khloe Kardashian has finally reached a tipping point with Lamar Odom. While the former NBA star has made great strides in his recovery over the past few months, his actions of late have caused Kardashian to re-think her divorce. What pushed her over the edge?

Kardashian unloaded her feelings on social media over the weekend. Although she didn’t mention Odom by name, her posts alluded to her complicated relationship with Odom and the love they share.

“Just because someone doesn’t love you the way you love them, doesn’t mean they don’t love you with all their heart,” she shared on Instagram. “Someone can be madly in love with you and still not be ready. They can love you in a way you have never been loved and still not join you on the bridge. And whatever their reasons you must leave.”

Kardashian went on to share a number of different quotes about letting go and dealing with other people’s problems. In one particularly insightful post to Instagram, the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star explained how love isn’t something that can be forced on just anybody. Was she referring to her relationship with Odom?

“Stop shattering your own heart by trying to make a relationship (friend, family, partner) work that clearly isn’t mean to work. You can’t love someone into loving you,” she stated. “(God I wish it were that easy.) You have to understand…some things ARE supposed to happen in your life, but they just are NOT meant to be.”

According to TMZ, Khloe Kardashian’s social media activity is a clear indication that she is ready to leave Odom for good. As fans will recall, Odom was found near death at a brothel in Nevada this past fall. The athlete overdosed and was rushed to the emergency room where he barely escaped with his life.

Although Odom and Kardashian had been going through a divorce at the time of the incident, Kardashian put the proceedings on hold while Odom recovered from his injuries. Their relationship appeared better in the preceding months, though Odom’s return to drinking has changed their situation.

In fact, Kardashian is willing to divorce Odom if he doesn’t start to change his way of life, and perhaps enter rehab. Based on her recent activity on social media, it does not appear as though Odom has responded well to her warnings. Are they headed for a divorce in the coming months?

That being said, Kardashian did not specifically name Odom in any of her posts. According to E! Online, this means that she could have been referring to somebody else. After all, Kardashian has been connected to a few other men since her break-up with Odom, including James Harden of the Houston Rockets.

However, Daily Mail is reporting that the quotes include some direct references to Kardashian’s situation with Odom. This includes the mention of “bad habits,” which more than likely is a reference to Odom’s substance abuse issues.

Shortly after the post, Odom was spotted making his way through a store in Los Angeles. Kardashian was nowhere in sight, and Odom tried to keep a low profile.

Odom and the Kardashians spent the Easter holiday together before reports surfaced that he had snuck off to a bar with some old friends the night before. Although Odom remained adamant that he did not have a drink, the fact that he put himself in a bad situation did not sit well with Khloe or any of the other Kardashians.

At the same time, Kardashian’s relationship with Odom never returned to anything romantic, according to Khloe herself. Although she kept by his side over the past few months, she recently revealed on her now canceled show, Kocktails with Khloe, that she and Odom had not been intimate in years.
