‘The Young And The Restless’ Spoilers: Jack Makes Newman A Deal, Michael Issues Kevin A Warning, And Summer Place In The Middle Of The Abbott/Newman Feud

The Young and the Restless spoilers tease an epic showdown between the Abbotts and the Newmans is coming in the coming weeks. On Friday’s episode of Y&R, Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) tries to play the peacemaker with the Newman/Abbott family battle and makes Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) a surprising offer that he thinks is a fair one. Michael Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc) gives his brother, Kevin Fisher (Greg Rikaart), a stern warning and advises him to steer clear of anything to do with the Passkey. Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) puts Summer Newman (Hunter King) in the line of fire, and she becomes the deciding factor in the Newman/Abbott battleground.

The Young and the Restless spoilers indicate that Jack wants to make amends and make things right between Victoria and the Abbotts after she issues a threat that she plans to see them in court over the Passkey. She stated that Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) stole Newman’s intellectual property, and she wants to make sure it was returned to her family’s corporation. Billy is not giving up without a fight and reveals he has no plans to return the revolutionary program because he feels he is the rightful owner.

She Knows Soaps reveals that Jack tries to make peace with the Newmans and offered 50 percent split profits with Victoria. At first, it looked like Vicki was going to accept his offer, too. It would settle the upcoming court battle and make both parties an insane amount of cash; however, Billy ruined the deal when he flipped out and stated he wasn’t sharing ANY profits with Newman. The program was his, not Jabot, and he wasn’t going to allow Newman to profit off his ideas. Ouch!

Of course, according to The Young and the Restless spoilers, Jack had to point out to Billy that the contract regarding Passkey was with Jabot, not him, so the family company owns the idea. Phyllis Abbott (Gina Tognoni) pipes in and tries to settle tempers down, and reassures Billy that Jack only has their best interest at heart.

The Young and the Restless spoilers state that Michael comes unhinged for a brief moment when talking to Phyllis about another favor she wants from him. Michael rants that he has lost so much, and faced the backlash from the media, in an attempt to “help” her. Michael cuts her off, and says friendship aside, he cannot do any more favors for her, again.

After speaking to Phyllis, according to The Young and the Restless spoilers, Michael urges his brother, Kevin, to walk away from the Passkey program. He tells him it’s going to get ugly between the Abbotts and Newmans and doesn’t want his brother hurt in the crossfire. Kevin advises him that [he] will stay the course; however, the computer geek promised to bail at the first sign of trouble. He tells Kevin that with their history with the law, they cannot leave anything to chance because they could be used as pawns in the game.

The Young and the Restless spoilers indicate that Summer will be placed in the middle of the Passkey mess. Apparently, she was asked to appear in court and tell her side of what happened with the computer program. Summer was understandably upset about the request, and she butted heads with her father, Nick, about it. He didn’t understand why she was upset and told her to tell the truth. CBS preview video showed Summer stating that she couldn’t do that because the truth would incriminate her mother, which worried her. Even more upsetting, she said she felt that her dad wanted her to testify against her own mother, and that was something she wasn’t willing to do.

“Dad, you have placed me in an impossible position. I cannot lie about the Passkey, but if I tell the truth my mother’s scheme could be exposed,” Summer yells at her dad.
