Bethenny Frankel Hints That Her Gnarly Divorce Could Soon Be Done

Bethenny Frankel has been filming The Real Housewives of New York for two seasons now after taking a few years to herself. During her hiatus, Bethenny filed for divorce from her then-husband, Jason Hoppy, and she revealed that she was indeed very miserable. Frankel hasn’t revealed why she decided to file for divorce, but it is clear that she’s hurt by everything that went on. Frankel has said that there was no cheating involved, but something unforgivable happened to her in their marriage.

According to a new Bravo report, Bethenny Frankel is now revealing that her divorce is still not over. The divorce has lasted longer than her actual marriage, and it sounds like Jason wants to keep fighting her to keep the apartment. Just a few weeks ago, Bethenny had a victory in her divorce, as the judge ordered her to stop paying spousal support to Jason. When Frankel stopped by Watch What Happens Live, Andy asked her about her divorce, and her answer may surprise you.

“I feel like we’re on the 18th hole. I do. I think we’re at the end of it. It’s been three and half years and I like to be good at things so I figured If I’m going to get divorced I’m going to have the longest, and best and most expensive divorce,” Bethenny Frankel told Andy Cohen during her appearance on Watch What Happens Live, adding, “It’s gnarly and, you know, I didn’t see it as being this way and here we are. It’s a learning experience and I’m feeling better and stronger and I’m happy. I’m coming out on the other side.”

Frankel revealed on The Real Housewives of New York that she is paying for three separate apartments, because she’s still paying for the home where her estranged husband lives. She’s hoping that she can soon be divorced so she can start keeping the money for herself. As it turns out, Frankel has learned a thing or two about her marriage: she doesn’t want to legally get married again – ever!

“My dating life was on fire. It’s now as dry as a bone. It’s as dry as the Grey Gardens petunias, but I’ll get it going again,” Bethenny reveals, sharing that she has no plans of getting married again, adding, “I will not legally get married again.”

On Wednesday’s premiere of The Real Housewives of New York, Bethenny saw how Ramona Singer was moving on from her divorce. Of course, Ramona learned that her husband had been cheating on her, and she filed for divorce. As she explained, she got some property and he got money. And it sounds like Bethenny is a bit jealous that she isn’t fully divorced yet.

“Ramona is single and a new woman, and we have a real friendship. I am a different person than where I started, and I respect our journey together. It’s adorable Ramona comparing her divorce to mine–like I walked into the voting booth and voted for ‘the worst divorce of the decade.’ That’s like comparing a drunk college guy at a bachelor party to Charlie Sheen on New Year’s Eve. She knows better of it now,” Bethenny Frankel revealed in her Bravo blog for the show.

Frankel doesn’t talk about her divorce on The Real Housewives of New York in great detail, and it sounds like she could just be waiting for the final outcome. It is possible that they are getting closer to an outcome, possibly because of the judge’s ruling.

What do you think of Bethenny Frankel’s divorce? Are you surprised that she still isn’t divorced and that she’s paying so much for properties?
