Kate Middleton Sends Team Ahead Of Her To India To Decide What To Wear On Tour

Kate Middleton is known for stepping out in the most stylish of ensembles for any and all events she makes appearances at. The Duchess always gets it right. However, it seems as though she is in need of inspiration and guidance when it comes to keeping her fashionista status while on her upcoming tour to India with hubby Prince William.

Kate has reportedly settled on bringing between 12 and 15 outfits, yet is in need of assistance to select those sure-to-be show-stopper looks. Middleton has sent a team ahead of her to India to do some research and homework in regards to proper attire. The Telegraph reported recently as to the basic wardrobe the Duchess intends to take along to Bhutan.

“Kate, 34, and Prince William, 33, will fly into Mumbai next Sunday for the trip and the Duchess of Cambridge will be packing alongside her daytime dresses and evening gowns, a surprise addition — a pair of hiking boots. Kate will take 12-15 outfits for the six days of official visits..”

Daily News & Analysis has noted that a full team has arrived in India ahead of Kate and William to scope out the territory and bring back tips as to what to wear.

“A small team have made a rehearsal trip to India and Bhutan, on which Kate’s private secretary Rebecca Deacon made notes on factors to consider about the locations the Duchess will visit, so that she has an idea of what outfits will and won’t work.”

The Duchess is apparently always sure to match her outfits to the specific backdrops that will compliment each appearance. A source close to the Duchess shared words about the typical process Kate goes through when selecting her ensembles.

“She is in charge of it herself and takes an interest in paying tribute to the host country with nods to their culture and local style on at least a few of the engagements. The important factor on this tour is the heat, so that’s an issue that plays a big part in the choice of outfits.”

It’s been noted that bright colors are always a top choice for Kate on the advice of the Queen, who has some knowledge as to how gorgeous bright colors always looks against any backdrop. The insider shares about this detail.

“She may subconsciously be following the Queen’s style. The Queen has always worn bright colours so she is visible in a crowd. She also knows block colours are more flattering in photographs.”

As the publication shares, Kate has ensured to dress in a diplomatic manner on all other royal tours she has embarked on. When heading to Montreal, Canada, Kate wore a dress by Erdem Moralioglu, a Canadian-born designer. The Duchess opted for Zimmermann, an Australian label, when heading to Australia. While in New York City back in 2014, Kate wore Tory Burch and J Crew — both American designers.

The Duchess hinted that she may be sporting a few pieces by Indian designer Saloni, seeing as just after the Indian tour was announced, she outfitted herself in a piece by the designer for a London function.

To be sure that Kate Middleton is her most radiant and as put-together as can be, she will be accompanied by her personal assistant, Natasha Archer, and her hairdresser, Amanda Cook Tucker.

The tour officially begins on April 10 and will involve a trip by the Duke and Duchess to New Delhi as well as the Kaziranga National Park and Thimphu, which is the capital of the Himalayan kingdom of Bhutan. Additionally, the couple will visit the Taj Mahal.

The two will also be getting into their outdoorsy gear, including those mentioned hiking boots, for some physically demanding activities, as the Telegraph relays.

“Whilst the Royal couple are in Bhutan they’ll go on a six-hour trek to Tiger’s Nest monastery said to require peak physical fitness and hiking gear, likely to be the £106 Hillmaster boots the Duchess last wore when she visited Borneo’s jungle.”
