‘The Sims 4’ And Its Expansion Packs Are Half Off For The Origin Spring Sale

Today may be a day full of pranks, fake information, and general folly, but it is just another day for some. After all, it is just the first day of another month and everything is not only about jests. For instance, there is a major sale starting up today on the Origin platform. Many titles are discounted as part of the Spring Sale and players of The Sims 4 are in luck today since the base game and its two expansions are currently discounted via Origin.

The base game, its Digital Deluxe upgrade, “Get To Work,” and “Get Together” are all half off for a limited time as part of the Origin Spring Sale. Interested players can pick up The Sims 4 for just $30 while the game’s first two expansions are just $20 each, as seen on the Origin website. Unfortunately, game packs and stuff packs for The Sims 4 are not on sale right now; however, that DLC does often go on sale at different times than the game’s expansion packs.

As part of the Spring Sale on Origin, many titles are up to 50 percent off for the duration of the sale. Players can pick up those select Sims titles for half off until the sale ends on April 11. Several other games are discounted for the Spring Sale, and a full list of which can be found on the Spring Sale overview page. Many Battlefield titles, Dragon Age games, and others are reduced in price right now.

In addition to going on sale rather often, The Sims 4 updates regularly with free updates alongside paid downloadable content like expansion packs, game packs, and stuff packs. The newest update just released in late March and introduced Jasmine Holiday, Growfruit, and the return of the egg hunt. As the Inquisitr reported, the Spring Challenge tasks Sims with finding eggs all over their neighborhoods in an effort to collect all 12. Finding them all unlocks a special stuffed bunny in Buy Mode. Additionally, Jasmine Holiday is currently in Oasis Springs and Willow Creek. This NPC will only be around for a limited time; however, she will give players seeds for Growfruit while she is present. Grow enough Growfruit for Holiday to unlock two new planters.

The update that started the Spring Challenge and introduced Jasmine Holiday for a limited time was part of a regular patch to The Sims 4. Players can check out the full patch notes on EA.com for all the details. It is hinted that even though Holiday will leave when the Spring Challenge is over, the NPC will likely return for future events.

On the paid side of things, the most recent stuff pack is the “Romantic Garden Stuff” pack with items included to create an idyllic garden. That pack even included the new Whispering Wishing Well item that will grant wishes to Sims that visit it. Sometimes the wishes turn out fine with powerful buffs like returning a dead Sim to life, and sometimes the well is cruel by ironically punishing the wishing Sim.

The stuff pack released in February, with no upcoming expansion pack, game pack, or stuff pack currently announced since. The month of March was definitely dedicated to the Spring Challenge and Jasmine Holiday, but many players of The Sims 4 are excepting a pack announcement soon.

The latest rumor surrounds a possible pet themed expansion pack thanks to an alleged survey from Electronic Arts. The validity of the survey is, of course, in question; however, the survey itself seems to be in line with other surveys the publisher has sent out. Fans on the official forums for The Sims 4 weigh in on the survey and the possible pet expansion. Again, the survey and the possible pet expansion are just rumor right now and both are totally unconfirmed by developers.
