Leonardo DiCaprio Responds To Jennifer Lopez & James Corden’s ‘Carpool Karaoke’ Prank

Leonardo DiCaprio is officially responding to Jennifer Lopez and James Corden’s recent “Carpool Karaoke” prank.

Jennifer Lopez recently spoke out about how DiCaprio really felt about her and Corden sending him a pretty flirty text during their recent hilarious The Late Late Show road trip, where Jennifer admitted that Leonardo was actually a “good sport” about the whole texting incident after she explained exactly what happened.

Revealing DiCaprio’s uncensored response to Entertainment Tonight during a post-American Idol press conference on March 31, Lopez admitted that she actually smoothed everything over with Leonardo after she explained that it was all a big prank for Corden’s uber-popular Carpool Karaoke series.

“I did have to explain it to him,” Lopez revealed to press this week, where she also admitted that DiCaprio was really a “great sport” about the whole incident.

“He was a great sport about it… I was like, ‘So hey, this is what had happened! I was with James Corden…'”

“He’s great. He’s a friend and it was nice,” Jennifer continued of how Leonardo felt about being on the end of Jennifer and James’s prank, “He was totally like, ‘Do whatever you want, I don’t care.’ I don’t know if he’d say that today!”

Jennifer also confessed to the press following American Idol’s final three show that she didn’t actually head out to a club with DiCaprio like he suggested they should in his text.

“I was home cooking, like I said, with my kids and my boyfriend,” Jennifer revealed of how she spent the evening following her text message exchanged with Leonardo.

The recent texting drama went down during Jennifer’s big appearance on James Corden’s “Carpool Karaoke” series, where Corden opted to search Lopez’s phone to find her most famous contact.

After passing on huge names like Demi Lovato and Bradley Cooper, James then asked Jennifer if he could send a text to one of her most famous friends, which just so happened to be Leonardo DiCaprio.

“Shall I text Leo DiCaprio?” Corden asked Jennifer in the Carpool Karaoke special, before telling Lopez that he was going to text the Titanic actor “Hey Leo.”

After Jennifer admitted that she wouldn’t text the Oscar winner “Hey Leo,” James later settled on the message “Hey baby, I’m kind of feeling like I need to cut loose. Any suggestions? Let me know, JLo (you know, from the block),” to which DiCaprio later replied to Lopez with a pretty interesting response.

“You mean tonight, boo boo? Club-wise?” Jennifer later revealed in the hilarious viral video that Leonardo sent a text message back, which set the internet alight. Social media fans hoped that the two may be sparking up a romance following their pretty flirty back and forth.

Although Lopez confessed during the post-American Idol press conference that the two most definitely did not head out to a club together that night, a slew of fans took to Twitter after the video hit the web to wish Jennifer and Leonardo together as a couple.

“JLo & Leo would make a perfect couple tbh it’d be called ‘JLeo,'” Twitter user @Athina_Lopez wrote on the social media site earlier this week, while @otra_zourry noted on the 140-character site that “JLo and Leo are a couple I can ship.”

Twitter fan @tinascottharlan also willed the two together, tweeting, “I totally always thought my two crushes [Jennifer Lopez] and [Leonardo Di Caprio] should get together and make beautiful and talented babies.”
