Tatyana Ali, Of ‘Fresh Prince Of Bel-Air Fame,’ Is Expecting A Baby With Fiancé Vaughn Raspberry
Tatyana Ali of Fresh Prince of Bel-Air is expecting and engaged to her longtime boyfriend, Dr. Vaughn Raspberry, according to recent reports.
In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, the 37-year-old actress shared that they are expecting their first child while currently planning their wedding, which is set to take place this summer. The soon-to-be mother added that planning the wedding was exciting at first because they did not know that they were pregnant; but, after the discovery, their “perspective shifted completely.”
The actress also took to Twitter to thank her fans for all their well wishes, noting that it looked like her 2016 will be a “full year.”
She also shared a photo of them posing for the camera. The couple was all smiles as the actress caressed her belly.

Tatyana Ali continued to say that they want their wedding ceremony to celebrate their newest blessing. She did not, however, give away any other details on the upcoming event. She did not say where it would take place, who would be invited or what the theme might be.
She did reveal that their wedding planner is Michael Russo. The actress was thankful to have his help as he makes “everything so fun and stress-free.”
Michael Russo is a celebrity planner who has helped organize the wedding of Dancing With The Stars pro Witney Carson and Carson McAllister. He’s also worked on the nuptials of Kevin Jonas and Danielle Deleasa, as well as the weddings of Beverley Mitchell and Michael Cameron, and Joey Fatone and Kelly Baldwin.
The bride-to-be also said that they first exchanged letters for months before deciding to see each other via Skype. After that, they decided to meet each other physically.
The star had nothing but high praises for her soon-to-be husband, whom she also called her best friend. As for the proposal, Dr. Vaughn Raspberry, an assistant professor at Stanford University’s Department of English, reportedly got down on one knee after a 45-minute hike through the Redwoods in Yosemite at the “most picturesque clearing.”
She recalled that when he proposed to her, they were alone together, adding that it was “thoughtful and perfect.” It is unclear if they will be revealing more details about their wedding and the gender of their baby anytime soon.
Tatyana Ali is best known for her role as Ashley Banks in Fresh Prince Bel-Air and also starred in Love That Girl! She is a Harvard graduate and also co-hosted Black Girls Rock! She also released her debut album, Hello.

Her fiancé Dr. Raspberry has been at Stanford since 2010. He studies African-American literature, global Cold War culture, postcolonial theory and philosophical theories of modernity. He is currently working on his book project entitled Race and the Totalitarian Century: Geopolitics in the Black Literary Imagination.
Aside from the former Fresh Prince Bel-Air actress’ impending marriage, another hot couple being talked about is Russell Wilson and Ciara. They recently announced that they are engaged, but little information is known about their plans regarding their wedding. Ciara was previously engaged to rapper Future and they share a son together.
