Harry Styles Not Struggling To Secure Lead Roles In Hollywood, Claims Publicist

Harry Styles is allegedly struggling to land a major role in Hollywood, one of his friends supposedly said. The 22-year-old is currently on a break following One Direction's decision to temporarily focus on each member's solo projects. It is believed that Harry is determined to make it big in the film industry, and despite his "friend's" claim, his publicist from DawBell firm, Amelia O'Shea, dismissed the report as fictitious.

According to the report, the British crooner cannot secure the right role because he lacks the formal training when it comes to acting. Harry allegedly doesn't want to take classes for he believes that his camera experience as a 1D member is enough.

"Harry wants to break into Hollywood, but it's proving to be a struggle. He gets offered silly bit parts and cameos, but that's not what he's interested in. He's not had acting classes, but he's been around for ages and has done media training and music videos for years. He thinks he can wing it."

Several reports have emerged about his future on-screen appearances. Harry will reportedly appear in a musical that also stars Cara Delevingne and Britain's Got Talent artist Susan Boyle.

The Universal Pictures film, which doesn't have a title yet, is a romantic comedy set in London during the World War II era. The "Drag Me Down" singer will start filming later this year to prepare for the movie's 2017 release. Harry's role, however, isn't major, because he wants to see first if acting is indeed for him. He reportedly accepted the role because there was something about its script that "caught his eye."

The Daily Star reports that Harry wants to strike a perfect balance between his music and acting career. The publication's source claims that he wants to have a career that echoes Justin Timberlake's. Harry has other projects lined up too -- one of them is Christopher Nolan's war film, Dunkirk.

The film revolves around the rescue of more than 300,000 soldiers from Dunkirk, France, who were cut off by the German Army. Dunkirk will hit silver screens on July 21, 2017. Filming will start in May in places where the events actually happened. Some are wondering if Harry will chop off his infamous locks to prepare for Dunkirk. He will join Tom Hardy, Kenneth Branagh, and Mark Rylance in the film.

Prior to One Direction taking a break, talks about Harry venturing into Hollywood have been making rounds. Movie mogul Harvey Weinstein claimed that he offered the "Made in the A.M." singer a role in Tulip Fever, but he declined because of his touring commitments. Harvey believes that Harry's meant to be a movie star because of his charisma.

Earlier in March, fans speculated that Harry might join Scream Queens 2 when show creator Ryan Murphy revealed that a "big pop star" would be on board. He further teased that he couldn't give away further details because the production team would "kill" him.

Scream Queens star Lea Michele also expressed her excitement should Harry join the FOX series. The show's lead character, Chanel Oberlin (Emma Roberts), will have a new love interest making some think if it could be Harry. Executive producer Brad Falchuk also said that they were searching for "hunky doctors" for the new season, but a tweet from Scream Queens' official Twitter account clarified that Harry wouldn't appear on the show.
