The boyfriend of MTV’s The Hills cast member Stephanie Pratt allegedly drove his Ferrari 458 over an NYPD officer’s foot as the officer was writing him a parking ticket last night in Manhattan.
In the video below, the officer tries to block him from leaving the scene, and that’s when the cop’s foot wound up under the tire.
The officer wasn’t pleased: According to Jalopnik, “What the f- -k, man,” the enraged cop screams as he punched the driver’s side window “You ran down my f–king foot!”
The officer dragged the driver out of the front seat, body slammed him to the ground, and cuffed him. He and the other officers took the driver into custody.
The New York Post reports that the the driver, who the paper identifies as Julien Chabbott, 28, faces “a slew of charges, including assault, vehicular assault and obstructing governmental administration.”
The incident reportedly occurred outside the Mercer Hotel in the SoHo section of Manhattan.
After the driver is taken in custody, it appears from the video that Stephanie Pratt drives off in the $275,000 sports car.
As any viewer of the TV show Cops is well aware, it is never a good idea to try to run from the police even if it involves a relative minor matter such as a parking ticket.
Stephanie Pratt was a cast member of The Hills from 2007 to its final season in 2010.
Do you think the arresting officer–who appears to be limping and in some pain–overreacted or was his actions justified? Watch the YouTube video and decide for yourself.
