‘Real Housewives Of Atlanta’ Season 8 Reunion Part 2: Phaedra Parks Discusses Apollo Nida Incarceration, Kandi Burruss Defends Kenya Moore

The Real Housewives of Atlanta Season 8 reunion show resumed on Easter Sunday and in it, the Housewives continued to discuss their issues over the past season. While part 1 seemed to focus more on Kenya Moore and the never-ending issues she has with the entire RHOA cast, part 2 spent some time on Phaedra Parks and the incarceration of her husband Apollo Nida. Afterward, the women discussed their Miami trip and the altercation between Kenya Moore and their angry male house guest.

Phaedra Parks took the opportunity to talk about her current marital status and whether or not she will be divorcing Apollo Nida. According to Phaedra, she is in the process of divorcing her incarcerated husband. She also talked about finally taking her sons Dylan and Ayden to see their father as he serves out his sentence at Fort Dix in New Jersey. Parks said she’s glad she finally took them for a visit because now the other Housewives can stop giving their opinion about whether or not she should take the boys for a visit.

According to Phaedra, everyone has given her their opinion on what she should do with Dylan and Ayden as far as Apollo is concerned. She even complained that friends who had been around when Apollo wasn’t in jail have given their opinions but haven’t been there with support now. It was pretty clear that Parks was talking about Apollo’s relationship with Todd Tucker and Peter Thomas. Phaedra did say that Craig Leakes did step up and offered to be a male figure for the boys since their dad isn’t around.

That’s when the conversation turned to an altercation during a Miami trip the Housewives took during Season 8. When Tammi brought her nephews back to party with the RHOA cast, things turned ugly fast. As the women argued about whether or not Kenya should have asked security to remove Glenn when things got out of hand, Kandi jumped in to defend her. It seems everyone else who was there for the Miami trip thought Kenya invited the men back to party with them because she liked one of them. Kenya Moore said that wasn’t the issue at all. Either way, the night didn’t turn out as planned because when Kenya confronted Glenn and told him that he would have to leave, the RHOA guest freaked out and started yelling all kinds of obscenities at her. At that point, security really did step in and throw him out.

While Kandi said that she did think the way Kenya acted had triggered Glenn’s behavior, she also said that was no reason for Glenn to have acted the way he did. In a rare moment when someone finally came to Kenya Moore’s defense, Kandi said that nothing Moore did meant that she deserved to be called a “b***h” or to have him angrily throw gang signs at her according to Breathecast.

The Real Housewives of Atlanta reunion show isn’t over yet. Bravo has broken the RHOA reunion into three parts this season. Next week, the women are scheduled to talk about the explosive Jamaica trip as well as the return of Nene Leakes. The husbands and boyfriends of the cast will join the reunion and Nene will take the stage as well.

Given the amount of drama that happened on the Jamaica trip, part 3 of the RHOA reunion show should be pretty interesting. According to the previews, Kim Fields’ husband, Chris Morgan is going to confront Kenya Moore about the “Chrissy” rumors, asking her exactly which of her friends run around Hollywood calling him that. Naturally, Kenya’s boyfriend Matt will get involved and an argument breaks out again.

The Real Housewives of Atlanta airs Sundays at 8 p.m. on Bravo.
