WWE is preparing for WrestleMania 32, which is just one week away now, and they’ve already had to call a lot of audibles in the past few months. Injuries have decimated the roster, and now, they may have to add one more. At a house show on Saturday night, another superstar was injured and it could have a major impact on a title match at the big Pay-Per-View. Many are hoping that The Miz isn’t seriously injured.
Saturday night, WWE held a house show in Richmond, Virginia, and The Miz took on Jack Swagger in a one-on-one match. According to PWMania, a number of fans in attendance say that the injury happened in a post-match segment between the two.
As far as the match went, things took place perfectly fine, and The Miz picked up the victory over Swagger. Afterward, Swagger put The Miz in the Patriot Lock, and the injury was said to have occurred sometime at this point.
Fans noticed that The Miz was limping severely, and left the ring quite quickly to get backstage, likely to receive medical treatment.
As of Sunday morning, the extent of The Miz’s injury isn’t known at all. No information has been given as to what exactly the injury is, or how serious it may be. With that, it isn’t known if he will miss any amount of time and need to stay out of the ring at all.
If the injury is significant at all, then he may end up having to miss WrestleMania 32, which is not good, as he’s part of a huge match.
The Miz is a participant in the Intercontinental Title Ladder Match, which has six other superstars in it, including champion Kevin Owens. They are joined by Sin Cara, Stardust, Zack Ryder, Sami Zayn, and Dolph Ziggler.
One injury has already caused this match to be altered. Neville was supposed to be in the match, but he suffered an ankle injury on Monday Night RAW a couple of weeks ago and is due to be out for a couple of months at least.
Zack Ryder ended up being his replacement in the match.
Now, there is no way of knowing if The Miz will need to be replaced in the match as well, but either way, it only adds to the huge amount of injuries hitting WWE in the past months.
And now The Miz is injured??? What is going on with all these inuries?

There are currently seven superstars injured within the last year who will miss out on WrestleMania 32. Some of their return dates are now known, but there are a few of them that will be out of action into the summer or even longer.
- John Cena
- Seth Rollins
- Luke Harper
- Tyson Kidd
- Randy Orton
- Nikki Bella
Randy Orton and Cesaro are both scheduled to return to action sometime in April, but they will just miss out on WrestleMania 32. Bray Wyatt was out for about two weeks with a back injury, but has since returned to the ring.
This list is not even counting the injuries to Sting and the retirement of Daniel Bryan, which came about in mid-February. Needless to say, but WWE has been hurt deeply by these injuries and they’ve had to change up a lot of things because of them.
Right now, the severity of the injury to The Miz is not known, and it isn’t known if he will miss any time or be taken out of the Intercontinental Title Ladder Match at WrestleMania 32. If any changes do need to be made, they will likely be addressed on Monday Night RAW.
