‘Bates Motel’ Season 4 Episode 4: What’s Really in Store for Normero and Dylemma? [Spoilers]

Bates Motel airs tomorrow night. Are you ready for a sneak peek of Season 4, Episode 4? According to Design&Trend, the official synopsis plays out like this.

“Norman goes on an adventure with a new friend; Norma gets a taste of happiness at a festival in White Pine Bay while Romero faces a potentially awkward situation; and Dylan is caught between two families.”

This week, Norman is going to try his best to convince Dylan their mother is crazy. He calls his brother from Pineview Institute, with news Norma is in trouble. When Dylan asks how he knows, Norman ominously replies… “the truth is going to come out now.”

If you watched last weeks episode of Bates Motel, you probably recall Norman telling his new doctor he’s very concerned about his mother and afraid for his own safety.

“I have reason to believe that my mother is insane and might be killing people.”

It’s obvious from the video clip, shown above, Norman breaks out of Pineview in the upcoming episode. No one knows if anyone gets killed in the process. Only time will tell.

“Dylan, this isn’t about me. It’s the price we all pay for keeping secrets.”

Max Thieriot (who plays Dylan) told readers, in a recent Seat42F interview, the phone call he gets from his brother is a wake-up call. He comes to the conclusion things are much more of a mess than he thought. He has to find out which one of his family members is really the crazy one.

Let’s talk about the wedding! In the same interview, Nester Carbonell shed some light on Sheriff Romero’s true feelings for Norma. Without giving away too much information, Cabonell said it was safe to say that the good sheriff has been “smitten” with the owner of the Bates Motel, for quite some time. Could that be why he suddenly changed his mind about marrying her last week?

He also suggested that even though the marriage is unconventional, at this point, it may be paving the way to something much more emotional.

In a separate interview, with Zap2It, Vera Farmiga (Norma) told readers Norma and Romero’s marriage is “very complex.” She also brings up the fact very little is actually known about the Sheriff. Even though it seems like he’s a great guy, he’s a cop who has been known to break the law.

Now, on to Dylan and Emma. Seemingly, Emma is recovering from her lung transplant rather nicely, but she isn’t out of the woods yet. She still has no clue that Norman murdered her mother. Talk about the possibility of a setback! She’ll need Dylan’s love and support more than ever, won’t she?

What’s your favorite thing about Bates Motel, so far, this season? Do you think Dylan and Emma will fall madly in love now that she has a new lease on life? Do you think the Romero’s marriage will last? Do you think Norma will still be alive in the last episode of the season? Feel free to leave your comments below.

These are all valid questions, die-hard fans Bates Motel are asking, waiting not-so-patiently for the answers to unfold. One thing is for certain, Norma’s days are numbered. But, then again, she’ll still be present thanks to Norman’s increasing level of insanity.

From the looks of things, White Pine Bay will never be the same. Thanks to the proprietor of the Bates Motel!
