‘Teen Mom 2’ Leah Messer Threatens To Quit, Doesn’t Want Story Twisted For MTV’s Benefit

Leah Messer appeared to announce her exit from Teen Mom 2 on Friday afternoon.

After facing a plethora of backlash due to her shocking behavior on the premiere episode of Teen Mom 2 Season 7, Leah Messer took to Twitter, where she slammed editors for making her look bad and claimed they twisted her story.

On March 25, Us Weekly revealed Leah Messer was fuming at the network. In addition to slamming MTV for editing her to look bad on the show, Leah Messer threatened to quit the series, claiming she refuses to allow the network to twist her story for their own benefit.

“I hope to continue to share my story but I REFUSE to allow it to be twisted for the benefit of a NETWORK!” she wrote.

Following her threat, fans and followers of Leah Messer responded to her post, pointing out that she continues to cash checks from the network, despite her claims. As many will recall, Leah Messer has blamed editing many times before. Just last year, she claimed MTV made it look like she didn’t get her kids to bed until midnight by putting a “12:00 a.m.” caption on a scene, when in reality, they were in bed much earlier. She also claimed Corey Simms and Jeremy Calvert took part in an MTV scripted scene, in which they outed her alleged prescription pill addiction.

Leah Messer also claimed a scene in which she was seen nodding off with a baby in her arms was the result of narcolepsy, not drugs, but the disease had never been mentioned prior to the scene. It hasn’t been mentioned recently, either, which has many wondering what happened to Leah Messer’s alleged illness.

“So can [we] expect you to not sign on for another season and get that HUGE paycheck?” one follower asked Leah Messer regarding her tweet.

Another pointed out that if MTV’s editing really bothered her so much she wouldn’t be signing contract after contract.

“They don’t force you,” the fan wrote.

“Why do you stay on the show if they twist everything?” asked another follower, who quickly received a response. “She’s a lazy cow living off MTV thats why shes still on the show. #DontBitetheHandThatFeedsYou.”

At the end of Teen Mom 2 Season 6, Leah Messer, who has been accused of being addicted to her prescription pain pills since late 2014, entered a treatment facility in Arizona. She claimed it wasn’t for drugs, but rather to address her issues with depression and anxiety. Still, rumors of drug use have continued to swirl and the content of Teen Mom 2 Season 7 thus far is certainly not working in her favor.

Following production on Teen Mom 2 Season 7, there have been multiple reports regarding Leah Messer’s two ex-husbands’ futures with the show. On March 15, a source spoke to The Ashley’s Reality Roundup, claiming Jeremy Calvert was planning to leave the show and would no longer be allowing his daughter with Leah Messer, 3-year-old Adalynn, to film.

Around the same time, a Radar Online source revealed that Corey and Miranda Simms had already pulled back from filming due to the network’s refusal to share the full story of Leah Messer’s struggles.
