Nicki Minaj Shuts Down Meek Mill Split Rumors While On Tour, Shows Love For Boyfriend During Performance

Nicki Minaj and Meek Mill may have found themselves at the center of breakup reports earlier this month, but it appears that Minaj is further silencing the split claims by showing some love for Meek Mill during one of her tour stops in South Africa earlier this week.

Nicki Minaj kicked off the first portion of her international The Pinkprint Tour in South Africa last week, ultimately concluding the first leg of her highly anticipated tour in Cape Town, South Africa, before jetting to Dubai for her scheduled performance on Friday, March 25.

While Nicki has been busy touring in South Africa over the past week, Minaj’s boyfriend, Meek Mill, is currently serving out the remainder of his 90-day house arrest sentencing in Philadelphia as a result of violating his probation earlier this year. Despite Nicki and Meek’s dedication to showing their love and support for one another on social media, the couple has been plagued with breakup rumors suggesting that Meek’s house arrest is causing a strain on the duo’s relationship.

Last month, an alleged source close to Nicki Minaj and Meek Mill revealed to TMZ that the couple is “on thin ice” following a “blowout fight” that resulted from tensions surrounding Meek Mill’s impending house arrest.

The source explained to the site that the couple’s fight began after Meek Mill urged Nicki to “stay close” while he served out the remainder of his house arrest, prompting Minaj to argue that she would not “put her life on hold because of [Meek Mill’s] criminal issues.”

The source concluded by noting that the duo’s disagreement over Meek Mill’s house arrest ultimately “triggered a big fight that is still unresolved” before adding that Nicki and Meek’s friends are concerned over the severity of the duo’s recent fight.

Despite claims suggesting that Nicki and Meek were taking a brief break during the duration of Meek Mill’s sentencing, Nicki took to Twitter last month to dispel the breakup rumors while showing some love for her boyfriend on Snapchat.

Now, it appears that Nicki Minaj is further silencing the split rumors between herself and Meek Mill by showing her support for the “War Pain” rapper during her show in Cape Town, South Africa, earlier this week.

During her performance of their collaborative hit “All Eyes On You” on Wednesday, one fan captured a video of the crowd cheering for Meek Mill after seeing a black-and-white photo of the loved-up couple flash across the big screen, Urban Islandz reports.

While Minaj hasn’t personally spoken out against the Meek Mill breakup claims since February, the songstress did recently open up about the engagement rumors surrounding her relationship with the “R.I.C.O.” rapper during an interview with NYLON for the magazine’s April, 2016, issue.

“He’s not perfect, but I can’t believe how much he’s changed. He doesn’t have a lot of structure. He can be irresponsible. Since I’ve come into his life, I think I’ve been working on that a little bit…He’s just getting accustomed to being an adult.”

In response to the engagement rumors, which were reignited in December after Meek gifted Nicki another massive diamond ring for her birthday, Minaj explains that she’s “not engaged yet,” but notes that Meek already refers to her as his “fiancée.”

“He said that my third ring would be my engagement ring,” Minaj explains, “But sometimes he calls me his fiancée, and I’m always trying to stop him, like, ‘Nope! I ain’t got that third ring yet!’ We’re just taking it one step at a time.”
