Gwen Stefani Kids: Blake Shelton Grows Close To Family Amid Gavin Rossdale Divorce Talk

Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton’s romance is no secret — and neither is his time with her children. Since The Voice couple embarked on a relationship last year, they’ve appeared to be one big happy family, and Gavin Rossdale, the father of Gwen Stefani’s three sons, may not be on board.

On March 22, Hollywood Life shared details of Gwen Stefani and Shelton’s latest outing with her children, Kingston, 9; Zuma, 7; and Apollo, 2, which took place in Oklahoma, where they were reportedly visiting for spring break.

Throughout their Oklahoma adventure, Gwen Stefani shared a number of Snapchat clips, one of which included Shelton taking a hike with her young son. In another clip, Apollo was seen in a camouflage jacket, much like the one Shelton regularly dons.

“Blake is amazing with the kids. He’s such a big kid himself and loves doing all the same things as they do,” an insider told Hollywood Life earlier this month. “One of his favorite things to do with them is go on hikes — they love Malibu Creek. They get out there in the mud, hunting for frogs or playing hide-and-seek. Blake loves any excuse to get outside and get dirty, so he’s a big hit with [Gwen Stefani]’s kids.”

Meanwhile, Gwen Stefani’s boyfriend is reportedly not a hit with her soon-to-be ex-husband, Rossdale.

“It drives Gavin nuts that his kids have bonded with Blake,” the insider explained. “He hates that they’re spending so much time with him. He doesn’t have any say in it…and it’s killing him.”

Gwen Stefani and Rossdale parted ways in August of last year, but according to a report by Us Weekly in November, it was February 2015 when things between them hit a breaking point. As the magazine alleged, Gwen Stefani was informed of an alleged affair happening between her then-husband and their nanny, Mindy Mann, by a fellow staffer.

According to the magazine, Gwen Stefani found incriminating messages sent between Rossdale and Mann, which allegedly included a chat about meeting to have sex, but when she confronted the father of her children, he initially denied the affair. Months later, however, he was believed to have come clean, leading to Gwen Stefani’s decision to part ways.

“I don’t feel like I have anything to be ashamed of,” Gwen Stefani said during an interview with Time. “I’ve done nothing wrong. I don’t feel like I have anything to protect about myself. But when you’re a mother, you have to have some boundaries.”

While Gwen Stefani didn’t elaborate on what it was that she was having to hold back, it is believed to have been news of Rossdale’s affair.

“It’s a really good, juicy story,” she added to the New York Times, again hinting at what led to the breakdown of her 13-year marriage.

Following Gwen Stefani’s split from Rossdale, the former No Doubt singer traveled to the studio, where she began writing her most emotional record yet, This Is What The Truth Feels Like.

“It was really a life-saver record for me,” Gwen Stefani said of the album. “It wasn’t until I had to go through the worst tragedy that it really opened up a channel for me to be like, ‘God gave me a gift. I’m going to use it now. Because if I don’t, I’m going to die.'”
