Kylie Jenner’s lipstick sold out within 15 minutes of release. Since Kylie’s cosmetic lines have reputations for empty shelves, Koko K, the newest lipstick kit, needs an immediate restock to meet the demand.
Kylie Jenner has a faithful fan base awaiting every cosmetic sensation the beauty mogul releases. And with Kylie’s Koko K line, it was no different. According to Bustle, Kylie Jenner’s cosmetic line sold out of various lipstick shades. From Koko K and Posie K to True Brown K and Mary Jo K, Kylie Jenner was sold out.
Via Kylie’s Snapchat, she posted up-to-the-minute stats on her Koko K line. According to Jenner’s last update, there were approximately 100,000 active users on her website within the first 10 minutes of releasing her new products. With that number, it’s no wonder the product left so quickly.
Kylie Jenner is expected to release an eighth color, called Kourt K, later this month — named after her big sister, Kourtney Kardashian. The color almost reminds you of something you’d see in a teen vampire movie series. Bustle specifically calls it “vampy.”
Several of Kylie Jenner’s lipstick kit users have expressed their feelings regarding the cosmetic products. Overall, they were all praises for Kylie’s product. However, the main issue most of the lipstick enthusiasts encountered were the wait times.
Some Kylie fans expressed that the process was easily one of the more frustrating experiences of their lives. However, upon lipstick order confirmation, frustration turned to blissful admiration for the beauty mogul’s cosmetic kit.
Moreover, many say that Kylie Jenner’s lipstick kits are amazing. But that’s the thing about success in options, right? Give options, but don’t boggle buyers with too many selections.
Currently, excluding the new color to launch, Kylie Jenner’s lipstick line has seven shades. It’s easy for her buyers to purchase the newest without being distracted by a multitude of other color shades.
Take California’s most successful burger restaurant, In-N-Out, for example. While other “burger joints” offer a wide range of sandwich selections, they still can’t top the wrap-around-the-building lines that In-N-Out handles on a daily basis. And this restaurant only offers two types of burgers: a hamburger (single and double) and cheeseburger (single and double). Customers can modify these burgers as they please, but the menu is simple. According to the website, it states as follows.
“Since 1948, we have maintained a simple philosophy – serve only the highest quality product, prepare it in a clean and sparkling environment, and serve it in a warm and friendly manner.”
In a likewise manner, Kylie Jenner keeps her lipstick kit selection minimal — in a similar philosophy. It’s about product quality and presentation, according to the 18-year-old beauty mogul.
Via Kylie Jenner’s Instagram, she notes that beauty and fashion have always been in her dreams. And as a testimony to her lipstick prowess, celebrity makeup artist Mario Dedivanovic remembers Kylie’s skill set when she was aged 12 and 13. Even then, “I remember she would always apply lip product herself and always had the best colors,” says Mario.
Do you think Kylie Jenner’s lipstick kits will restock soon? The demand is high, and even several people who attempted to order last night weren’t able to place a confirmation.
Will Kylie Jenner’s success continue to climb like her business mogul sister, Kim Kardashian? Feel free to share your thoughts in the comments section below.
