Christina Aguilera Enjoys Date Night With Fiancé Matt Rutler Ahead Of ‘The Voice’

Christina Aguilera and her fiancé, Matthew Rutler, enjoyed a night out over the weekend as rumors continued to swirl regarding her alleged exit from The Voice.

On March 21, the Daily Mail shared photos of Christina Aguilera’s latest outing, in which she and Rutler enjoyed a meal at Craig’s restaurant in Los Angeles. In photos of Christina Aguilera making her way out of the West Hollywood, California hotspot, she was seen wearing a low-cut black ensemble with a matching black beanie. Meanwhile, Christina Aguilera’s soon-to-be husband, Rutler, was also seen in black.

Christina Aguilera and Rutler became engaged in February, 2014, and welcomed their first child together in August of that year, daughter Summer Rain. Christina Aguilera is also mom to 8-year-old son Max from her marriage to Jordan Bratman, which lasted from 2005 to 2010.

As Christina Aguilera’s coaching role on The Voice Season 10 continues, rumors are swirling regarding her possible exit from the NBC series. According to report, Christina Aguilera is unhappy with the publicity Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton’s on-screen relationship has gotten, and has threatened to quit the series.

On March 7, OK! Magazine claimed Christina Aguilera was fed up with her co-stars’ romance taking center stage on the show. Days later, the feud between Christina Aguilera and her co-stars reportedly heated up after it was revealed that Stefani and Shelton had allegedly received a bonus from producers for sharing their romance on the show.

“Blake and Gwen are getting an interesting offer from the show’s execs,” a source told Radar Online on March 10. “Producers want the two of them to give fans a full-on love-fest this season when she is a mentor on Team Blake, and they are going to throw in huge bonuses for exclusives, such as on-air duets, engagements, etc.”

Stefani and Shelton’s romance began last year during filming on The Voice Season 9, and during the show, their flirtations were seen quite frequently, which seemed to be quite a draw for fans. In fact, while Stefani was not slated to appear on The Voice Season 10, producers opted to have her back as a mentor, and paired her with her boyfriend, Shelton, who serves as a Season 10 coach.

“[Christina Aguilera] is furious,” the source revealed. “Christina wants Gwen out of the picture and is already throwing mini-tantrums about it. She said that Gwen is ‘not vocally talented’ and would not be on the show at all anymore if it was not for her relationship with Blake.”

As for how Shelton was handing his co-stars’ alleged tantrums, the source claimed he was completely unconcerned with her rumored antics, and focused on the positive things in life, including his relationship with Stefani.

“Blake really does not care what [Christina Aguilera] does or says,” the insider said. “He is a completely different person now because of Gwen, so much more laid-back. He said that he’s grateful the show is the reason that he and Gwen found each other.”

In addition to rumors of a feud with Stefani, Christina Aguilera has also made headlines for a new series, on which she acts as executive producer. Last week, Spike TV officially announced the new show, Tracks, revealing Christina Aguilera’s new project was a music game show, in which contestants would be guessing the names of tracks played on the show and sung by celebrity guests.
