Watch ‘Jill & Jessa: Counting On’ Free Online: Duggar Family Returns To TLC, Season Premier Recap
The Duggar family has returned to the TLC lineup with the network offering a full season of Jill & Jessa: Counting On. The show had a trial run in December with TLC giving the family a second chance with a three-part series focused on the two newlywed Duggars, Jill Dillard and Jessa Seewald. The Duggars had the opportunity to prove they still had the viewership capabilities despite their oldest son Josh Duggar’s many controversies with the series and apparently the ratings were good enough for TLC to give the controversial family another go on the network.
For those who missed the Counting On season premier, TLC is offering fans the ability to stream the full episodes for free online. The first episode, titled “At Home & Away,” follows Ben and Jessa Seewald as they go through the trials of being first time parents. The mini-series last December featured Jessa’s homebirth and subsequent hospitalization with the new series focusing on life at home with baby Spurgeon.

In the Jill & Jessa: Counting On premier, fans will be excited to know that the whole Duggar clan is featured despite the title suggesting the series will be solely about the Duggar daughters Jill and Jessa. Notably, despite discussing Anna’s visit to see her husband Josh Duggar in rehab, the disgraced Duggar was not featured in the series. As Us Weekly points out, the main focus of the premiere was on Jessa Seewald, Jill Dillard and Josh Duggar’s wife Anna.
Jessa Seewald discusses life with a new baby and gives some details that seemed to embarrass new father Ben Seewald. Jessa explains to the cameras that she deals solely in the baby’s “input” while Ben deals with the “output.”
“Pretty much I take care of all the input, and he takes care of all the output.”
Jessa also reveals that she is trying hard to play matchmaker for her siblings. In exchange for a Christmas photo shoot of baby Spurgeon, Jessa says she has offered to find the perfect match for sister Jinger. Jessa says she has also offered her matchmaking services to her brother John but says she is always turned down.
“I’m a terrible matchmaker, by the way. Nobody likes my ideas. It’s kind of sad. It really is. I’ve asked John, and he always tells me, ‘There are more girls in the world than you know about,’ and I’m like, ‘I’m just trying to help.'”

Jill Dillard, currently residing in Central America, is also featured in the Duggar premiere. The Dillards note that they are preaching twice a week and calls Central America “dangerous” on numerous occasions. However, the dangers aren’t just in the form of the gangs that the Dillards have talked about previously. Jill reveals that she also has to worry about wildlife as she recently saw a cougar next door and remains vigilant.
Josh Duggar’s wife Anna is also featured heavily in the premiere, as fans seem most curious about what is happening on the home front with Anna since Josh has been away at rehab. In the premiere, Anna visits Josh in rehab and discusses the “painful memories” that seeing Josh have brought back to the surface.
“I’m coming face to face with a lot of painful memories.”

Following her visit with Josh, Anna then reports back to the Duggars, noting that Josh is grateful for their continued support. Meanwhile, some of the Duggar siblings, particularly John-David seem skeptical about Josh’s rehabilitation since their relationship has certainly changed.
“I still love my brother and still talk to him on a regular basis, but things have definitely changed, some within the relationship.”
