4 Things To Take Away From ‘Pretty Little Liars’ Season 6 Finale

The Season 6 finale of Pretty Little Liars answered the question of who Uber A was; at least, who one of those texting the girls was. It has left fans with shocks and twists, and now they are excited for Season 7. With no release date announced for Season 7 yet, it is worth looking at the questions Season 6 answered and those left open.

1. Jessica DiLaurentis Was a Twin

Marlene King had confirmed there would be a twin storyline in this season of Pretty Little Liars, and it left fans guessing. Would it be Alison like in the books? Maybe it would be Aria or Hanna? In the end, it was Jessica DiLaurentis who had a twin. Jessica may be dead, but the twin is still alive and has a connection to Charlotte/Cece.

It turns out that Mary Drake is Charles/Charlotte’s real mother. The slight relationship between Charlotte and Jason is now a little less incestuous, but it has raised more questions. Why did the DiLaurentis family adopt Charles and why does nobody just tell the truth in Rosewood?

Mary is set up to be the main player in Season 7, along with her late son/daughter’s love interest Elliot. It will give everyone a chance to find out who they really are and whether they are really evil or just disturbed/hurt.

2. Elliot Is British

Not only did Elliot turn out to be part of the Uber A plot—no surprise there—he turned out to be British. This is the biggest thing to take away from this, as it could suggest that Wren could make an appearance. Pretty Little Liars fans have long suspected Wren has being part of the big game. His name was mentioned again, suggesting that the writers want to keep him in fans’ memories.

Huw Collins, who plays the conniving doctor, does not even know the full story for his character, according to TV Line. He did not even know he was going to turn out to be part of the A plot until during filming.

3. Uber A Is A.D?

It is difficult to tell who is sending messages, and whether there really are two As now. One thing for certain is that one person has finally put initials to texts: A.D.

Who could this be? The first thought for many would be Alison DiLaurentis, but that is impossible. By the time that text was sent, Alison had committed herself to a psychiatric hospital after seeing what she thought were visions of Jessica and Wilden. Now, Pretty Little Liars fans have started theorizing over the options.

Wren still comes into play, as one theory is that Wren is Charlotte’s biological brother but was adopted himself. He met Elliot through medical school and is now terrorizing the Liars as he finds out the truth about his sister. D could stand for Drake, but what does the A stand for?

Another theory is that A.D. is Andrew Campbell. Fans thought he would turn out to be Big A during the Pretty Little Liars Season 6A finale, but he never came up. Bustle says that King has confirmed Uber A and A.D. are the same people, and now some suggest that A.D. is Andrew Drake. He was adopted and became Andrew Campbell.

4. Nobody Is Safe

It is very clear right now that nobody is safe on Pretty Little Liars. Hanna has been taken and it is unclear as of now whether she will survive. Ashley Benson cannot even confirm if she has a main role next season or not. The fates of everyone in Rosewood are in the air.

Mary Drake and Elliot Rollins want revenge and answers. That is made clear in the Season 6 final moments. It is also clear they are leaps and bounds ahead of the Liars, and have intricate plans that surpass any of Charlotte’s.

The good news is Season 7 has been confirmed, but no premiere date as been scheduled. Filming does not even start until next week. More good news is that King has said Pretty Little Liars Season 7 will be fast-paced and bring answers around Mary and Elliot’s storylines. There will be answers in almost each episode to keep fans entertained.
