Katie Couric’s New Man

Katie Couric may be known as the former co-host of “Today” and former “CBS Evening News” anchor, but its her new man and new show that have her in the news now.

The 55-year old Couric’s new man appears to be financier John Molner. According to Wonderwall, the new man happens to be head of mergers and acquisitions at investment bank and securities firm Brown Brothers Harriman. He is 49.

The report says the relationship is a few months old and that they couple seems plenty happy, but Couric and her new man did make public appearance at the Ellen Hermanson Breast Cancer Benefit July 28.

“Katie looked better than ever and, clearly in love, did her best to keep her relationship with John low-key. She was careful not to be photographed with him, but they were clearly together,” an unsurprisingly unnamed guest told Wonderwall. “They looked good together and other guests remarked that he seemed a more age appropriate match.”

Another guest, of course also unnamed, reported to have seen the pair kissing in the driveway before driving away from the event.

The Huffington Post notes that the new man in Katie Couric’s life is much closer in age than her most recent beau, Brooks Perlin, who was 17 years younger than Couric. Couric was married once, but her husband died of colon cancer in 1998.

Though her days manning the news desk at CBS are behind her, Katie Couric has no intention of disappearing from the public eye. Her new talk show, “Katie,” premieres on Sept. 10, and no doubt her new man will be among those watching.
