Ashley Jones Pregnant: ‘General Hospital’ Actress Expecting A Baby Boy
General Hospital star Ashley Jones is pregnant, and it’s a boy!
People magazine broke the news that Jones and her husband, Joel Henricks, are expecting. Ashley and Joel will welcome their son this May. Jones released the below statement to People magazine regarding her impending motherhood.
“Becoming a mother has been a lifelong dream of mine. It seems surreal that it’s now happening. Although life as we know it will forever change, Joel and I can’t wait to meet this baby.”
Ashley Jones may be pregnant for the first time, but she already has a little insight into what motherhood is going to be like, thanks to helping Henricks raise his 3-year old son, Huck. The big-brother-to-be is Joel’s son from a previous relationship, and according to Ashley, he is very excited that there is going to be a new addition to their family.
“Huck asks every few days, ‘Is the baby still in your tummy?’ He latched on to the notion of being a big brother immediately. Now, he’s just ready to put all this talk into action.”
The news that General Hospital star Ashley Jones is pregnant comes a mere month after the actress revealed that she and her husband were married in a private courthouse ceremony. Ashley shared the news with Soaps In Depth. Jones told the soap opera magazine that the newlyweds will have another ceremony, reception, and, of course, a honeymoon at later dates.

As for whether or not the news that Ashley Jones is pregnant will affect her current General Hospital storyline, it seems unlikely. Fans of the show know that she is playing Professor Parker, who appears to be not only blackmailing Kristina but a possible love interest as well, and this plot is moving along full steam ahead. It is a relatively new story, which is why it seems also unlikely that the character will pop up pregnant, especially since Jones is due in a couple of months. Then again, it is a soap opera, so anything can happen. The baby just might be written into the story in some bizarre soap fashion.
Although Ashley has not been seen that much on General Hospital, she will reportedly be back on screen next week. In her previous scenes, Jones’ pregnancy was clearly hidden. Now that the news has broken that she is having a baby, the big purse, bulky coat, and shots of her from above the belly make a lot more sense.
Before joining the ABC daytime soap, Jones was a fixture on the CBS soap opera The Bold and The Beautiful, where she played Bridget Forrester for over eight years. Ashley was also on The Young and the Restless for over five years as Morgan Dennison, a role that earned her two Daytime Emmy nominations.
Ashley Jones is pregnant. The talented General Hospital actress is preparing for her biggest role to date, motherhood. She is still filming the hit soap and has credited executive producer Frank Valentini with how accommodating he has been during her very first pregnancy.

In May, Jones, her husband Joel Henricks, and her stepson Huck will go from a family of three to a family of four. It has definitely been a whirlwind few months for Ashley, with a new marriage and a new baby on the way, but it’s been a very exciting few months as well. She has kept this exciting news under wraps for most of her pregnancy.
