Adam Levine’s Wife Behati Prinsloo Is Pregnant, And He’s Quitting ‘The Voice’?

Adam Levine’s wife, Behati Prinsloo, is pregnant, and according to a new report, that may mean his time on The Voice will soon come to an end. Although no official announcement has been made, a source claims Adam Levine is planning to walk away from the NBC series after Season 10.

“[Adam Levine]’s been there since the very beginning and feels like it’s time to move on,” an insider told In Touch Weekly, via a report by OK! Magazine on March 11. He “wants to concentrate on his music and start a family with his wife.”

“[Adam Levine] really wants to leave on a high note. He doesn’t want to see the show jump the shark. He’s totally open to coming back in the future as a mentor, but deep down he knows it’s the right time to say goodbye,” revealed the insider.

In the past, a number of judges have come and gone from the series, but when it comes to Adam Levine, he’s been a constant, and it’s hard to imagine the show without him. However, now that his wife is expecting, it would be understandable if he wanted to take a step back and focus on his family.

Us Weekly was first to report news of Prinsloo’s pregnancy, claiming last week that the wife of Adam Levine was three to four months along, and that the news had been confirmed by “multiple” sources.

After news of Adam Levine’s wife’s pregnancy broke, a number of reports surfaced, one of which claimed his co-stars on The Voice were all very excited about his baby news.

“Blake has already volunteered to be the Godfather, so he can show their little one the ropes. Everyone is thrilled, including Gwen and Christina,” an insider told Hollywood Life on March 10.

Another report claimed Adam Levine wouldn’t be leaving the show.

“[Adam Levine] would stay with The Voice and will stay with The Voice even if he becomes a father,” an insider explained to Hollywood Life. “The amount of time he would have to be away really wouldn’t be that much. He could easily do both. The Voice schedule would offer no neglect to family duties and he would be able to do it because The Voice would be accommodating to all of his needs. They would all be able to work out a proper schedule to make it all work out. ”

Adam Levine began dating Prinsloo in May 2012, and in March 2013, the couple split. However, while Adam Levine was linked to other models during his months-long break from Prinsloo, he and the Namibian model reconciled a short time later, and in July 2013, they became engaged.

Adam Levine and Prinsloo tied the knot on July 19, 2014 in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico.

In other news pertaining to The Voice, Christina Aguilera has returned to the show after taking a couple of seasons off due to her current arrangement with Gwen Stefani, which was prompted by her maternity leave years ago. Since Christina Aguilera temporarily left the show to have her child, she has been on rotation with Stefani, but during Season 10, rather than Stefani sit out, she was brought back to the show as a mentor for the team of her boyfriend, Blake Shelton.
