The Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards has had it’s well-known slime for years. It is always exciting to see which celebrity would be slimed each year at the awards. This year at the 2016 Kids Choice Awards Jason Sudeikis, Josh Gad, and Fifth Harmony were the lucky celebrities to be covered in the famous slime.
According to I Heart Radio, the Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards major winners were Jennifer Lawrence for favorite female actress, Justin Bieber for favorite male singer, and Adele got favorite song of the year, for “Hello” and they did not get covered in slime as they were not present at the Forum in Los Angeles.
Blake Shelton was the host of the 2016 Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards ceremony. The country singer was thanked for his duty as host at the end of the show by being doused in the slimely green goo. Actors Jason Sudeikis and Josh Gad got their slime in the face as they were presenting a preview of their new film Angry Birds. The five member girl group Fifth Harmony were completely covered in green slime while they were on stage collecting their award for favorite music group.
The girl group was presented with their award by Rob Gronkowski and Dove Cameron for Favorite Music Group, Rob and Dove quickly backed away as they knew what was in store. Fifth Harmony was just finished giving their sweet acceptance speech about how thankful they are for their wonderful fans, when neon green slime began to suddenly rain down on the singers.
Members of Fifth Harmony did try to get away from the green goo. Dinah was the first to react to the slime as she hilariously dashed across the stage and away from the slime at an impressive speed. Normani and Lauren also tried to run from the slime but were not as quick as Dinah, Normani was actually slipping on the stuff quite gracefully. Camila and Ally were not so lucky to escape at they were frozen in their tracks, taking the brunt of the surprise attack. The two got completely covered in the slime, Ally getting the most of it.
Fifth Harmony has actually experienced getting the Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards slime before. In 2013 the girl group got soaked in slime goo at a special launch event for Nickelodeon Radio!
The slime was not only reserved for celebrities on the stage, as actor John Stamos was greeted with a bucket of slime being poured over his head as he sat in the audience.
