John Boyega Visits Sick Kids At Royal London Hospital–Makes Young Boy’s Wish Come True
The new Star Wars actor everyone loves, John Boyega, has recently taken up visiting sick children at a local hospital.
Boyega went to the Royal London Hospital on Friday to deliver toys to many of the kids, but visited one specifically. Young Daniel Bell is a five-year-old patient suffering from a brain tumor. Bell’s mother said that John’s visit was priceless, and that Daniel loved spending time with Boyega.
In the pictures, we see John Boyega dressed in the dark shirt and leather jacket worn by his Star Wars character, Finn, while Bell sports a stormtrooper costume.
Boyega’s visit was organized by the Rays of Sunshine children’s charity, but it was Daniel Bell’s particular wish to meet the renegade stormtrooper.
“Daniel Bell from Ormskirk said he wished he could hand out presents to other young patients alongside his favourite film character,” The Evening Times reports.
When John found out about the young boy’s wish, he apparently “jumped” at the opportunity, according to the Belfast Telegraph.
“When I heard about Daniel’s wish to meet Finn, I jumped at the chance to make it come true. It was fantastic to be a part of his very special wish with Rays of Sunshine.”

People reported that the pair had a fantastic time handing out toys to many other sick children at The Royal London Hospital.
“The pair – Boyega dressed as Finn, Bell dressed as a stormtrooper, along with a young girl dressed in her Rey best – delivered toys to multiple kids at the hospital. They even had time for a lightsaber battle! (Though it’s not clear who won.)”
The Bafta-award winning actor showed his soft side during his visit–from teaching Daniel cool lightsaber tricks to gifting children with stuffed animals. This will not surprise followers of John Boyega, who know very well that John has a tender heart–specifically toward children. John has often posted pictures on his Instagram account of him and his young nephew.
Let’s be honest, guys. John Boyega has got to be one of the sweetest rising stars. A video that John posted last week confirms this.
Boyega loves helping people and making fans happy. He has often surprised audiences with unexpected appearances, and, now, by visiting a hospital to pass out toys and spend some quality time with one of his biggest fans.
In December, John told Jimmy Fallon on the Tonight Show that he was eager to get to meet fans.
“I’m gonna go over to a few theaters in Brooklyn, Queens, Manhattan, and I’m gonna meet some people, you know, just say thank you. This is big, and I feel the love, I really, really do.”
John visited many theaters and cinemas in the weeks following the release of Star Wars: The Force Awakens.
It’s incredible that Boyega finds the time for visiting fans amidst his many responsibilities–including filming for Star Wars VIII and his strenuous workout regime, according to an earlier report by the Inquisitr.
Daniel Bell’s life has now been forever changed because Boyega cared enough to visit him and the other children at the hospital. Bell’s mother, Rosalind, expressed her gratitude on Facebook on Saturday.
“To see Daniel smile like that without a care in the world after everything he’s been through, knowing how much time and effort Rays of Sunshine have put in to his wish and that John Boyega gave his time to make it come true, is priceless.”
