How Does Drake Feel About Nicki Minaj, Meek Mill Getting Back Together?
After recent rumors that Nicki Minaj and Meek Mill had split — and then reconciled — it only makes sense that Drake should weigh in on the development.
After all, Minaj’s long-time friend Drake has been at the center of the Nicki Minaj-Meek Mill relationship saga, so if he has an opinion on Nicki and Meek Mill reunion, no one would be surprised. Right?
According to an unnamed source for Hollywood Life, Drake had a lot to say about Nicki Minaj and Meek Mill getting back together. In fact, the Hollywood Life source insinuated that Drake believes Nicki is foolish for getting back with Meek.
“Drake can’t believe Nicki gave in and went back to this clown. Meek being on house arrest was the best thing that’s ever happened to Nicki. She was finally free from him. She didn’t have a sidekick or tag-along, which is what Meek really is instead of her boyfriend. They have mother/son relationship, and Drake knows Nicki can do so much better.”
According to a report from TMZ, the “Anaconda” rapper and her boyfriend recently split after a “blowout” fight that involved Minaj’s refusal to move in with Meek Mill while he serves time on house arrest. The TMZ report indicated that Meek Mill asked Nicki Minaj to move in with him to his Pennsylvania home while he served his time, but Minaj refused, saying that she “would not put her life on hold” during the house arrest sentence.
A judge ordered Meek Mill to serve 90 days on house arrest after he violated his probation in a drug and gun possession charge. Meek’s house arrest sentence will be fulfilled in June.
Even though Drake believes Meek Mill’s house arrest would have been the perfect chance for Nicki to drop Meek for good, the Hollywood Life source reported that Drake knows why Nick Minaj went back to Meek Mill.
“Drake understands; Nicki’s not the type of woman who would kick a man when he’s at his worst,” the source told Hollywood Life. “He thinks that Nicki will soon break up with this man, and she’ll do so once he’s off house arrest. At least that Drake’s hope for her. That would just be cold blooded if she left him high and dry for good when he couldn’t leave the house. Even Drake’s not that dirty.”
The feud between Drake and Meek Mill dates back to July, when Meek blasted Drake on Twitter, saying that Drake doesn’t write his own raps.

Drake quickly responded with two diss tracks, “Charged Up” and “Back to Back.” In “Back to Back,” Drake took aim at Meek and Nicki’s relationship, rapping: “Is that a world tour or your girl’s tour?/ I know that you gotta be a thug for her/ This ain’t what she meant when she told you to open up more.” At the time, Meek Mill was opening for Minaj on her Pinkprint Tour.
Belatedly, Meek eventually responded with a track of his own (“Wanna Know”) directed at Drake. In January, Mill took aim at the Canadian-born rapper again with his 4/4 EP.
