Sherlyn Chopra, a Bollywood film actor, is going to be the first Indian celebrity to strip naked and pose for Playboy Magazine, the Huffington Post is reporting. Playboy has always pushed to expand its readership global and with more than a billion people living in India this may make Chopra’s picture spread on of the most downloaded on the net. The Indians won’t be able to go to the store to get the issue though, the magazine is banned in the conservative country.
Chopra approached Playboy with the idea to do the spread according to the BBC. Playboy, once receiving the request, got back to the Bollywood bombshell within a few days to accept the offer.
Chopra will not be making her debut until the November issue. At a press conference featuring Chopra and Playboy magnate Hugh Hefner, the magazine was thrilled to announce the addition of the “Bollywood Goddess” to their portfolio of international beauties.
Critics are already piling up to criticize Chopra’s decision to appear naked in the magazine. The Daily Mail published a criticism by a local Indian writer where the writer mused that maybe “one wonders if Sherlyn Chopra’s pictures wound a woman’s integrity.”
Chopra is completely uninterested in the criticism. She said to the BBC,
“I have become the first Indian to pose naked for Playboy and nobody can take away that achievement from me,”
After taking a full tour of the Playboy Mansion in Los Angeles Chopra took to the net and posted pictures of her experience all over Twitter.
She uploaded snapshots from her tour of the famous Playboy mansions in Los Angeles to her Twitter account.
