‘Days Of Our Lives’ Spoilers: Will Ben Murder Abigail?

Days of Our Lives spoilers and speculation are running wild about Ben Weston’s return to Salem after escaping from the mental hospital. Could Ben be planning to kill Abigail before she can marry Chad DiMera?

Celeb Dirty Laundry reports that actress Kate Mansi has decided to leave Days of Our Lives, and her final air date is drawing near. Could this mean that the character of Abigail Deveraux will be murdered like so many other DOOL characters have been in recent months?

The report suggests that if the character of Abigail is written off Days of Our Lives for good, then it is possible that Abby could be murdered by her ex-fiance, Ben Weston. As DOOL fans learned last week, Ben has escaped from the mental institution where he was being held after confessing to being the necktie murderer, who killed Paige Larson, Will Horton, Serena Mason, and the midwife that delivered Abigail’s son, Thomas.

Ben believed that he was the father of Abigail’s son, Thomas, but after Ben’s capture and arrest, it was revealed to Abby that Ben was not the father of her son, but that her longtime love, Chad DiMera, whom she had an affair with, was the biological father of the child.

Chad and Abigail finally got back together after a bumpy road and quickly became engaged. The two moved into the DiMera mansion after it was put up for sale due to Stefano’s money troubles and kicked Andre out. However, after Hope Brady murdered Stefano DiMera, it was Andre who was suspected as his killer and was arrested, leaving Chad and Abigail with the mansion to themselves.

Days of Our Lives fans have seen Abigail and Chad building their lives and planning for the future ever since. Their wedding, which is right around the corner, could be the best day of their lives, or the worst.

While Chad and Abigail’s brother, JJ Deveraux, know about Ben’s escape, Abigail does not know that her former captor has broken out and is likely coming home to look for her and the son that he still believes is his.

Days of Our Lives fans have been anxious to find out whether or not the role of Abigail Deveraux has been recast since Kate Mansi announced her departure, but no official word has been given by NBC. However, the report suggests that if Abby has been recast, the new actress would likely have started filming by now since the soap films so far in advance. Since no word has been given, fans are worried that Abigail may be gone for good, which could be a huge blow for the soap since Abigail is a very popular character, and the couple of Abigail and Chad, or “Chabby” as DOOL fans like to call them, have become a huge fan favorite.

Days of Our Lives viewers have lost so many big characters over the course of the past two years. EJ DiMera was killed off, although fans are holding out hope he’s still alive and will return someday, Sami Brady left Salem, Bo Brady was shocking killed off due to a brain tumor, Will Horton, a character who has been in Salem since his birth was murdered by Ben Weston, Stefano DiMera, the biggest DOOL villain of all time was murdered by Hope, Daniel Jonas was killed in a car accident, and many other characters such as Paige Larson, Aiden Jennings, and Ava Vitalli have also recently left Salem in a body bag, although Aiden is reported to be returning to Salem soon.

Can Days of Our Lives fans take another murder? The show has taken a very dark turn with murders, illness, and rape as of late, so some are calling for a change in mood.
