Fans can watch the 2016 ACC Tournament live online and see whether top seed North Carolina can complete its run toward the top of the NCAA Tournament, or if a surprise team steals the dance card instead.

The final tournament for college basketball’s marquee league will take place this week, with the action opening on Tuesday and going through to Sunday’s championship game. UNC snagged the top seed, while Virginia is the No. 2.

Many experts are pegging the Cavaliers as the favorite to win the 2016 ACC Tournament, as their team is one of just two in the country in the top 10 for both offensive and defensive efficiency. Virginia also played well against the ACC field, with all six of their losses coming by seven points or fewer.

Fans who watch the 2016 ACC Tournament live online will see a Virginia team ready to avenge some of those losses.

“I think that the lessons we’ve learned have taught us more, but I can’t be sure,” coach Tony Bennett said, per Chris Graham of the Augusta Free Press. “We’ve had some really good teams, but we have some guys that have been in some tight games and learned a lot through the wins and probably more through the losses.”

An it’s never wise to count out the Duke Blue Devils, Bleacher Report noted. They snapped out of a midseason slump and have won seven of their last nine games, including wins over both Virginia and North Carolina.

“Like many recent Duke teams, this unit finds its salvation on offense and damnation on defense. Duke is fourth in offensive efficiency but sits a dispiriting 96th on the other end. Grayson Allen has drawn all the national headlines and Brandon Ingram all the googly eyes from NBA scouts, but it’ll be the surrounding talent that decides how far Duke goes.”

But it was North Carolina winning the season-ending matchup, a 76-72 victory over the rival Blue Devils. The Tar Heels dominated the game inside, out-rebounding Duke 64-29 and outscoring them 42-20 in the paint.

“We dominated the paint like we needed to. And we didn’t go away from it,” senior guard Marcus Paige said (via ESPN). “We kept going to the paint, kept going to the paint and we were able to hold off their runs. They made a couple of runs where they made a lot of 3s, but that’s what Duke does. We were able to stay composed in a hostile environment and show what this team is really made of.”

But the ACC Tournament always has a number of surprises, and as one of the final tournaments in the nation to wrap up — its final game takes place just hours before the NCAA committee picks seeding for the tournament — means it has the potential to shake up some brackets.
