‘Real Housewives Of New York’ Star Bethenny Frankel Is Dealing ‘Head On’ With Mystery Illness

The new trailer for The Real Housewives of New York dropped a major bomb when it revealed that Bethenny Frankel is dealing with a serious health scare this season. While the details about her health issue remains a mystery, the reality star recently sat down with People and spoke about her condition and what she plans to do about it.

For starters, Frankel revealed that her health problems are something that is common in women, which admittedly could mean a number of different issues. Despite the threatening nature of her issue, Frankel promised that she is doing all she can to fight back.

“I’m facing a women’s health issue that many women can relate to,” Frankel told the magazine. “I’m dealing with it head on and viewers will understand how I personally deal with matters such as this. I hope women can relate, learn and support each other in life moments like this.”

Apparently, whatever illness or disease Frankel is fighting is serious enough that she needs surgery. Furthermore, the clip revealed that Frankel is planning on looking into creating a “living will” just in case things don’t go as planned.

Unfortunately, little else is known about Frankel’s state of health. While this is certainly frustrating for many viewers, Jezebel is reporting that it is typical behavior coming from the Real Housewives franchise. Even more, the network is using this as an opportunity to gather steam for the Season 8 premiere. Considering how large a role Frankel plays in the series, the mystery surrounding her will likely lead to higher ratings this season.

That being said, Bustle is reporting that Frankel might not reveal the exact nature of her illness in the coming season. After all, the reality star is known for keeping the details of her private life to herself. If her illness is serious enough, there is a chance that she’ll use her appearance on the show to gain support without ever truly revealing what she has.

Of course, it would be a tragedy if the series did not delve deep into Frankel’s condition. After all, she is one of the more popular women on the show, and watching her battle her health scares is something that most fans will be up for watching. This is especially true considering how healthy Frankel is and how much care and attention she affords her body.

Whether or not Frankel opens up about her health issues in the coming season of The Real Housewives of New York is yet to be seen. Hopefully, fans will learn what’s going on with her before the series wraps up its final episodes. Either way, fans can rest assured knowing that Frankel will undoubtedly give it the best she has until she is fully recovered.

Meanwhile, Frankel doesn’t appear to have slowed down by whatever is ailing her. In fact, the opposite could be said, as the reality star recently held a fiesta-themed party with the rest of her co-stars. Frankel threw the party in order to celebrate the release of her newest line of Skinnygirl drinks: Watermelon Lime Margarita.

The party featured a number of the other ladies from The Real Housewives of New York. The new margarita is expected to hit shelves sometime this summer, and the bottles at the party were created and designed by Romero Britto. Britto is a well-known pop artist who also happens to be good friends with Frankel.

While Britto’s wowed the guests at the event, the special bottle will not be available to purchase once the drink hits the market later this year.

The Real Housewives of New York City’s new season hits television April 6 on Bravo.
