Farrah Abraham Describes Near Rape Encounter On ‘Farrah & Friends’ And Describes Childhood Abuse On ‘Teen Mom OG’ [Video]

Farrah Abraham revealed on her podcast Farrah & Friends that she had a scary experience with an Uber driver who tried to rape her. While her experience is something no woman should have to endure, Abraham revealed that now she’s banned from Uber.

In the podcast, Abraham said that as the driver was trying to attack her, she called her “non-boyfriend” Simon Saran, with whom Farrah has had a tumultuous relationship. Explaining that she also called the police, Farrah told listeners that Saran “threw [the driver] in the window and almost broke his car window” to protect her.

Despite their on-again-off-again relationship, Saran is the first serious relationship Farrah has been linked to since the death of her daughter’s father, Derek Underwood, seven years ago. Abraham and Saran dated briefly before splitting in June 2015 after less than a year, then reuniting again in November 2015.

However, the scary experience did not end with Simon beating up the driver. Instead, “[t]he Persian dude ran after me,” Farrah explained, adding that the police tried to help her, too. Abraham described to listeners that, at the scene, the “cops were like, ‘You’re harassing her’ and I was like, ‘See I told you!'”

In the same podcast, Farrah explained about the exploitation women in the entertainment industry must endure and referred to Kesha’s battle to end her contract with Sony after she was allegedly raped by producer Dr. Luke. Abraham questioned whether it is “really that important that we let ourselves get that far off” in order to reach fame, stardom, and “where we need to be?”

While Farrah feels she might have been exploited in ways similar to Kesha, at this point, the reality star has “drawn the line,” adding that she has decided “[t]his is not where I want to be and I’m not happy” after having some questionable experiences. Telling Farrah & Friends listeners that she “ran into some bad things because of that, whether it was rape,” adding that “[n]ow I don’t like to go out at all.”

In the end, making a commitment to herself “leads to some sort of change,” Farrah expostulated, urging other women to do the same.

Almost being sexually assaulted by an Uber driver is not the reality star’s first brush with tragedy. During a Teen Mom reunion episode, Farrah revealed that she was abused as a child. During the episode, Abraham described a scene from her childhood in which Farrah was beaten with a belt by her mother, Debra Danielsen, and her father, Michael Abraham.

Telling Dr. Drew that “I don’t really feel like people should have to go through with that,” Farrah tearfully described the abuse as “so sad.” Abraham then told Dr. Drew that tragedy is “part of life.”

In the reunion show, however, Dr. Drew had a different take, advising Farrah to “[s]top dismissing it,” confirming that hitting a child with a belt “is sad. It’s sad to have been hurt as a child, right? Super sad,” while Abraham nearly crumbles in tears.

Abraham also discussed her dog, Posh, on Farrah & Friends. After announcing the dog was pregnant when she was just a puppy herself, Farrah was widely criticized by fans. In an interview with OK! Magazine, Abraham explained that she updated listeners about the dog “because of the negativity of something that was really so innocent and really not an issue. I just wanted to address that we did have puppies, we are taking care of them.”

Farrah added that she plans to sell the puppies, and the dog is now fixed. Abraham confessed that although she loves her dog, breeding puppies is not something she is “interested in.”
