‘Real Housewives of New York’ Season 8: Secret Details, Drama And Illness Revealed

The Real Housewives of New York is back with an eighth season and the ladies are gearing up for another dramatic season. Two of the previous Real Housewives stars have left the show. Heather Thomson left the show to focus on her business, and Kristen Taekman left The Real Housewives of New York after it was revealed that her husband had been caught up in a cheating scandal with the website Ashley Madison. One can imagine that she didn’t want the ladies to talk about her marriage on national television.

According to a new Radar Online report, the new season of The Real Housewives of New York promises to be crazy, and veteran housewife Bethenny Frankel deals with some serious health issue. Frankel opens up about this issue in the trailer for the new season, and she cries that she has to get surgery and needs to find out if she has a living will. It sounds like a serious issue, and Bethenny seems to be very upset about it.

“Tell Megan she has to find out if I have a living will,” Frankel, 45, says in the trailer. “Bethenny has some health issues,” Morgan, 52, explained to Radar Online about her co-star, adding, “You have to see how it turns out and how serious it is.”

“I’m facing a women’s health issue that many women can relate to,” Frankel tells People magazine after the trailer for The Real Housewives of New York was released, adding, “I’m dealing with it head on and viewers will understand how I personally deal with matters such as this. I hope women can relate, learn and support each other in life moments like this.”

But Bethenny isn’t the only person who is struggling on this season of The Real Housewives of New York. Ramona Singer and Sonja Morgan also deal with some issues, as Sonja’s drinking from last season comes up again. Many of her co-stars were worried about her drinking, and it sounds like nothing has really changed. In the trailer, Ramona is the one who talks to Sonja about her behavior.

“You know Ramona and I, because we are friends for almost 30 years, we read each others’ minds—we are like sisters,” Morgan has revealed to Radar Online of her bickering with Ramona Singer, adding, “So we don’t hold back on each other. She’s overly dramatic about me. You’ve seen that in past, and I don’t mince words with her. I don’t hold back with her either. The problem is we are both very sensitive. So we both get hurt. You will have to see where it takes us this season.”

Of course, there’s also drama in regards to Luann de Lesseps and Carole Radziwill. On the previous season of The Real Housewives of New York, Carole started dating Adam Kenworthy, and Luann wasn’t happy about it. Adam was her personal chef, and he was also the ex-boyfriend of her own niece. Luann made a huge spectacle of everything, and it sounds like this drama won’t settle down anytime soon. In the Real Housewives of New York trailer, Carole is seen ignoring Luann, and some of the other housewives bring up the fact that Luann is a bit hypocritical, as she’s also slept with much younger men.

“It’s so complex because we are all such good friends now,” Sonja has revealed of this season of The Real Housewives of New York, adding, “It’s not new friendship stuff anymore. We all know each other inside out, which buttons to press, know each others’ histories, so there’s no holding back. It’s really crazy this season. This season [will be] a total roller coaster the whole time right out of the gate.”
