Are Gigi Hadid & Zayn Malik Headed For A Split?

Gigi Hadid is reportedly stressing out over her boyfriend Zayn Malik’s upcoming tour. After branching off from the popular band One Direction, Malik began a solo career of his own, and after releasing his first two singles, he’s set to go on tour, which reportedly hasn’t come as good news to Gigi Hadid.

Although the pair is currently together in Milan, where Gigi Hadid appeared on the runway for Versace during Milan Fashion Week (and suffered a major wardrobe malfunction), Gigi Hadid fears the distance between them during Malik’s upcoming tour could prove to be a negative thing for her and Malik.

“[Gigi Hadid] would never say anything to Zayn, but she is secretly starting to stress out over his upcoming tour,” an insider told Hollywood Life on March 1. “She obviously knows his past and knows that thousands of beautiful girls will be throwing themselves at him when he hits the road. Who wouldn’t be worried?”

In addition to Malik’s upcoming responsibilities to his fans, Gigi Hadid is quite busy herself, and after traveling to Miami to celebrate her recent appearance in Sport Illustrated’s Swimsuit Issue, the model jetted off to Milan, where close friend Kendall Jenner also attended fashion week, and for nearly one month, she and Malik didn’t see one another at all. Luckily, however, he eventually flew to Milan to be with her.

“The good thing is that Zayn totally dotes on her and makes her feel like a princess,” the source explained. “She knows she has nothing to worry about, but at the same time she can’t help but feel a little anxious over having a long distance relationship once he kicks off his tour.”

Since Gigi Hadid began dating Malik, he’s reportedly been completely giddy about their relationship. In fact, according to a previous report, Malik sent copies of Gigi Hadid’s Sports Illustrated issue to his friends.

“As soon as Sports Illustrated’s Swimsuit Edition with Gigi’s shoot in it came out, Zayn asked an assistant to go to as many news stands as possible and pick up several copies,” a source told Hollywood Life on February 22. “Not only was he being hugely supportive of Gigi’s shoot by buying several copies, he also wanted to send some back to his friends in England and show off his new girlfriend. He knew he would be the envy of his pals.”

The source went on to reveal that despite having dated for just under five months, Malik has “entertained the idea of living stateside.”

Prior to her relationship with the former One Direction singer, Gigi Hadid dated a number of pop singers. First, it was Cody Simpson who had her heart on-and-off for a couple of years until they parted ways for good in early 2015. Next came Joe Jonas, who spent the summer dating Gigi Hadid, but split a short time later only to be spotted with another model, Jessica Serfaty of America’s Next Top Model, earlier this year.

While Gigi Hadid has often been seen on episodes of the currently airing The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, the model has not shared details about her relationships on the show. Instead, she and Malik continue to date in private while her mother, Yolanda Foster, exposes both her health troubles (she’s been battling Lyme disease since 2012) and the end of her marriage to David Foster (they called it quits in December 2015) on the Bravo reality series.
