Kris Jenner Wants To ‘Ground’ Kanye, Says He Has Trouble Conveying His Meaning When Tweeting [Video]

Kris Jenner did not hold back on the subject of Kanye West and his recent Twitter rants that have understandably caused a strong public reaction. The momager of the reality show Keeping Up with the Kardashians joked about her son-in-law’s outlandish behavior on social media as of late while she visited Ellen on her talk show Tuesday.

On The Ellen Degeneres Show, it was an awkward exchange until Kris and the popular talk show host addressed the elephant in the room in the form of Kanye West and his recent rants.

Ellen was first to bring up the topic of the rapper’s recent headline-making actions.

“Let’s talk about Kanye just briefly.”

Before Degeneres had a chance to get to her queries about the rapper, Kris cut in jokingly.

“I don’t think you can ever talk about Kanye briefly. Do you?”

Ellen replied in her usual direct and hilarious manner.

“I don’t think Kanye can talk briefly, but I can talk about Kanye briefly. Kanye is tweeting like crazy and don’t you want to just say, ‘Stop tweeting?'”

Jenner more than agreed with Ellen’s comment about Kanye and noted that that, and more, has certainly crossed her mind.

“You know, there have been days when there should be a no-tweeting law. I feel like I’ll ground him.”

Ellen suggested a solution to West’s overly active Twitter usage by noting that he should hire a board of directors to filter the rapper’s tweets. Kris acknowledged that this was a good idea, adding that Kanye struggles to convey his message the true way he means for it to come across. Jenner went on to cite an example involving the “Stronger” rapper’s infamous tweet about being $53 million in debt.

USA Today relays Kris’ explanation to Ellen on the subject of the outrageous tweet on Kanye’s behalf.

“When he was like, ‘Oh, I am $53 million in debt,’ you know that whole thing, what he was trying to say was that’s what he’s done to spend on his clothing line over the last 15 or 20 years. But it comes out not exactly the right way and people get it misconstrued through the media and it’s just complicated.”

The confusing tweet led to a GoFundMe campaign being launched in response. It is certainly a fantastic idea to employ an individual to watch over Kanye’s Twitter usage and edit or filter his tweets before they hit the Twitterverse. Being the “closest thing to Einstein” comes with its challenges, after all.

Lately, Kanye has simply been outdoing his previous actions by getting under the skin of other celebs, most notably Taylor Swift, whom the rapper simply won’t leave be. The digs started up once more when Kanye dropped his latest song “Famous,” on which the rapper included disrespectful lyrics directed at Swift.

“I feel like me and Taylor might still have sex. / Why? I made that (expletive) famous.”

In true Taylor Swift fashion, the superstar responded with poise while accepting her second Grammy for Album of the Year and directed a portion of her acceptance speech at the rapper, who insists that he has some part in making her as famous as she has become.

Billboard shares the words of Swift when accepting her Grammy for her album 1989.

“As the first woman to win album of the year twice, I want to say to all the young women out there, there are going to be people along the way who will try to undercut your success or take credit for your accomplishments or you fame,” she said. But if you just focus on the work, and you don’t let those people sidetrack you, someday when you get where you are going, you will look around and you will know that it was you and the people who love you that put you there and that will be the greatest feeling in the world.”
