Emily Maynard Reveals Another Pregnancy Just Months After Giving Birth To Son, ‘The Bachelorette’ Star Expecting Third Child

Former Bachelorette star, Emily Maynard, has found her happy ending. However, it wasn’t on reality TV, even though she did try that venue twice before. She has found her prince charming in the real world, and she is happier than ever. Her life is about to expand even more as she just announced that she is expecting another baby with husband Tyler Johnson. This will be the couple’s third child in their ever-growing family.

This new baby will join big sister Ricki and big brother Jennings, who has not been the baby of the family for very long. The baby news was revealed on Good Morning America on Tuesday morning, and even though this new pregnancy was a surprise, Maynard said that she is in a great place right now in her life and she is very happy about it.

The expectant mom also has written a book called I Said Yes: My Story of Heartbreak, Redemption and True Love. In it she reveals her life growing up which was full of many dark times in her young life. She admitted in the book that she suffered from depression when she was a young teenager and even attempted suicide when she was 15 by swallowing a bunch of pills.

“I had a bad day… and I just decided, ‘you know what? I’m just going to take some pills.’ And I did — and ended up in the hospital.”

The book revealed a few confessions from Emily Maynard that she wrote as a way to finally come clean that her life was not all peaches and cream like it seems to be right now. However, her life seemed to take a turn for the better after she eventually met and fell in love with race car driver Ricky Hendrick. They were engaged when she was 18, but as Bachelor nation knows by now, her fiancé perished in a plane crash before they had a chance to start their life together as husband and wife.

This tragedy was yet another thorn in her life that she had to endure. It was all the more real when she found out days later that she was pregnant with Ricki. Emily sadly mentioned that at that time she wished that she was with her fiancé in the plane crash. However, her new baby had given her new hope and has brought her joy since then.

Even though her TV romances with Brad Womack and Jef Holm didn’t work out for her, Maynard said that she wouldn’t have changed a thing and has no regrets about being on The Bachelor and The Bachelorette. She did confess that she pretty much knew right away that things would not work out with both of those men, whom she got engaged to on national television.

“It’s just… not a normal situation. You don’t engaged to somebody and then say, ‘Oh hey, Ricki, this is Jef.’ We — you know, we just got engaged. It just didn’t feel right. Nothing about it felt right.”

But now, Emily Maynard has the family that she always wanted. She and Tyler have been married since 2014 and are happy as ever with this new little baby surprise. In her People pregnancy blog, Emily jokes that she should have been more aware on how quickly you could get pregnant after just having a baby.

“I guess I should’ve read that part in the baby handbook that says you’re super fertile after giving birth, huh?”

Emily mentioned that she feels a little bad for little Jennings because he didn’t get a chance to be the baby of the family for very long. However, he will have a playmate close in age, so that should make him happy. Maynard also said that Ricki wants this one to be a girl. You certainly can’t blame her for that.

Congratulations to Emily Maynard and husband Tyler on their future addition to their family.
