Taylor Kinney Is ‘Proud And Unashamed,’ ‘A Real Man,’ According To Lady Gaga

Taylor Kinney and Lady Gaga looked like the happiest couple in the world as they walked down the 2016 Academy Awards red carpet holding hands. As noted by E! Online, the couple has officially reached peak glam.

Lady Gaga, who was nominated for an Oscar this year, and her fiancé Taylor Kinney walked down the red carpet hand in hand and posed in front of photographers. But the adorable couple attended this year’s Oscars not just to sit among guests in the audience.

Taylor Kinney’s fiancé took the Dolby Theatre stage to perform her Best Original Song contender “Til It Happens to You.” The song was part of a documentary titled The Hunting Ground, which tells the story of sexual assaults in colleges and college campuses.

Lady Gaga wore an all-white Brandon Maxwell jumpsuit and completed the look with platinum old Hollywood glam-style blond hair. Taylor Kinney, who led his lady by the hand down the red carpet, wore a black tuxedo and classic bow tie.

Lady Gaga posted an Instagram photo of herself and Taylor Kinney kissing passionately during the ceremony, in the caption to which she wrote that Kinney is “a real man.”

“Never thought anyone would ever love me because I felt like my body was ruined by my abuser. But he loves the survivor in me. He’s stood by me all night proud and unashamedly. THATS a real man.”

In late 2015, Gaga revealed during one of her interviews that she had been raped when she was 19-years-old by a man who was 20 years older than her at that time. Just ahead of this year’s Oscars ceremony, Taylor Kinney’s fiancé took to Twitter to support the “Tik Tok” singer Kesha, who is currently going through a legal process involving rape.

“I’ll be thinking of u 2nite. This is not over we’ll stand by u until you are free to live a HAPPY life. Everyone deserves that.”

Earlier this month, a judge refused to free Kesha from her contract with her producer Dr. Luke, whom she had accused of drugging and raping her when she was 18.

Gaga and Taylor Kinney’s attendance at the Oscars on Sunday was a continuation of their romantic weekend. On Saturday, the adorable couple attended the Weinstein Company’s pre-Oscar party at the Montage hotel in Beverly Hills. Gaga’s fans were lucky enough to get a glimpse of their favorite singer thanks to an Instagram photo, in which Gaga showed off her heart-shaped engagement ring.

Last month, Gaga and Taylor Kinney attended the Golden Globes, where the “Bad Romance” singer won an award for her performance in a limited series or motion picture category for her role in American Horror Story: Hotel, according to People.

Taylor Kinney met his fiancé on the set of Gaga’s music video for “You and I” in 2011. Kinney proposed to the “Poker Face” singer on Valentine’s Day in 2014.

Apart from the passionate kiss that Gaga shared with her fiancé Taylor Kinney at the 2016 Oscars ceremony, her fans will, of course, remember that powerful performance of her Best Original Song contender “Til It Happens to You.”

Gaga was introduced on stage by U.S. Vice President Joe Biden, who in his speech urged the nation to take action against college sexual assault and told Oscars viewers to visit website ItsOnUs.org, but it shortly crashed from the traffic overload.

Talking to reporters on the red carpet before the ceremony and standing beside her fiancé Taylor Kinney, Gaga said that it’s an “important song” for her, and she said that one in five women get raped before they get to finish college.
