Jennifer Garner Breaks Silence About Divorce With Ben Affleck, Reunites With Affleck For Their Son’s Birthday Party

Jennifer Garner has finally spoken out about her divorce with Ben Affleck, revealing that the Batman vs Superman actor was the love of her life, as reported by the Daily Mail.

On Saturday, Jennifer Garner and her former husband, Ben Affleck, reunited for a superhero-themed birthday party for their son Samuel, who turned 4. The two also have two daughters: Violet, 10, and Seraphina, 7.

According to the Daily Mail, Reese Witherspoon and her son Tennessee, as well as “lots of moms, dads and siblings,” attended the birthday party.

The party comes just a day after Jennifer Garner revealed her heartache over the end of her marriage to Affleck in an interview with Vanity Fair.

Affleck and former wife Jennifer Garner, as well as their kids, recently reportedly spent a vacation with Tom Brady, Gisele Bundchen, and their children.

Despite the divorce, Jennifer Garner and Affleck seem to have remained on friendly terms and continue to co-parent Samuel, Violet, and Seraphina. Affleck, who won the Golden Globe Award and BAFTA Award for Best Director for Argo three years ago, attended the William Morris Endeavor pre-Oscars party on Friday night.

According to the Daily Mail sources, Affleck spent lots of time there with his best friend Matt Damon, who attended the pre-party with his wife Luciana Barroso.

Affleck and Jennifer Garner’s reunion comes just a day after the 43-year-old Elektra actress told Vanity Fair that Affleck was the “love of my life.”

Jennifer Garner told the magazine, which interviewed the actress for its March issue, that she was never too hard on Affleck. She also revealed that she would go back and remake the decision to marry him.

“I ran down the beach to him, and I would again. You can’t have these three babies and so much of what we had.”

Talking about Affleck’s charisma and brilliance, and that she could always feel his “warmth,” Jennifer Garner denied rumors that the nanny, which was rumored to have slept with Affleck, had something to do with the divorce. Garner also revealed that the two had been “separated for months” before Affleck’s rumored affair with Christine Ouzounian surfaced in the media.

“She had nothing to do with our decision to divorce. She was not a part of the equation. Bad judgment? Yes. It’s not great for your kids for [a nanny] to disappear from their lives.”

Jennifer Garner was rather mysterious about whether Affleck had the affair with the nanny or not, saying that the 43-year-old actor and director is “still the only person who really knows the truth about things” and that she is “still the only person that knows some of his truths.”

The actress also revealed that it’s been a “year of wine” for her. Last June, Jennifer Garner and Affleck announced their divorce just a day after their 10th anniversary.

And that’s when various tabloids started spreading rumors that Affleck reportedly had a fling with the 28-year-old nanny. However, the actor has always denied the rumors. Jennifer Garner was quick to say that their marriage was “a real marriage” and that it wasn’t for the cameras.

“And it was a huge priority for me to stay in it. And that did not work.”

Jennifer Garner came to prominence as an actress in Hollywood in 2001, when she was cast in J.J. Abrams’ ABC TV show Alias. Garner played the role of Sydney Bristow, a double-agent for the CIA pretending to be an operative for SD-6, a criminal and espionage organization.
