WWE News: Eva Marie Claims She Will Be WWE Divas Champion, Talks A Divas Tag-Team Division
When Eva Marie debuted on WWE television, she wasn’t well-received by the fans. In fact, Marie was hated and vilified each time she walked out on stage. Marie, at least as it’s perceived on Total Divas, is a kind person who cared about people. Unfortunately, that doesn’t count when the WWE fans want to see technical wrestling and a good battle inside the ring. Marie was given countless opportunities on the main roster but didn’t cash in on those chances.
Her incessant time on TV should’ve displayed with a better in-ring prowess and skills on the microphone. Marie didn’t improve, which made WWE officials take her off television. When Becky Lynch, Sasha Banks and Charlotte got called up from WWE NXT, Marie would’ve been out of place on the main roster. There’s not even enough time for Paige, Summer Rae and Natalya. The WWE has their priorities where they want.
From that point forward, Eva Marie wanted to improve and get better in the ring as a professional wrestler. She ventured to California to get trained by the Brian Kendrick. As a former WWE star, Kendrick shared with Marie all that he knew about the business. This all culminated to a WWE NXT reboot of Eva Marie and the beginning of “All Red Everything.”
After several months on the WWE NXT roster, she’s partnered with Nia Jax and is a force to be reckoned with. Her in-ring methods improved and she seems more comfortable on the microphone. However, she’s still a huge heel and hated by the fans. Eva Marie has big hopes in the WWE. She completed a YouTube Q&A in which she said she will win the WWE Divas champion and talks about a future Divas Tag-Team division.
“She thinks WWE should have a Divas tag team division. It would be interesting, entertaining and would allow for more Divas to get TV time. She’d want to team with Nia Jax and thinks they would dominate.”
“She absolutely believes she will be WWE Divas Champion one day. Divas who say they don’t want to be champion are lying.”
Eva Marie is confident, as every WWE wrestler. Even though she isn’t the most-talented, her winning the championship would grant her as a top heel in the company. Nobody can deny her passion for pro wrestling and the industry altogether. Eva Marie spoke to Youth Health Mag about how she went to California and ended up in WWE NXT.
“I was already on the main roster, so I could have continued doing what I was doing up there. I never want to do anything mediocre, so I needed to make that personal assessment and ask Vince McMahon and Triple H, ‘Can I go to NXT?’ Because we have the resources, so why wouldn’t I want to capitalize on that? I’ve put in blood, sweat and tears to progress, which is awesome, ’cause look at me now: I’m working a live event tonight. It was definitely one of the scariest – but best – decisions I’ve ever made.”
The current WWE NXT star should remain respected within the wrestling community. Not many folks would want to improve and go to drastic measures to do so. Take Roman Reigns for example, as he isn’t the best on the microphone. There’s nothing stopping Reigns from going to classes and improving his promo abilities. However, unless it’s very private, that hasn’t happened. Marie is a great heel and knows how to scoop heat.
