Taylor Swift Delivers Heartfelt & Hilarious Maid Of Honor Speech At Best Friend’s Wedding [Video]

Taylor Swift gave a heartfelt and hilarious maid of honor speech at her friend Britany Maack’s wedding last weekend.

As anyone who has been a maid of honor knows, there are a lot of important duties that fall on your plate. One duty is giving a killer speech, and Swift appeared to nail that duty. Taylor gave a very heartfelt and hilarious speech that honored her friend Britany and their lifelong friendship. It is very clear that there is a beloved friendship between these two ladies.

Thanks to a video shared by Maack, fans of Swift were able to see glimpses of her maid of honor speech. Although Taylor speaking is mixed in with other beautiful shots and speeches from the wedding, it is still easy to see that Swift was overjoyed for her friend. The first clip you see of the speech shows Taylor talking about the happy couple.

“He would chase her and pursue her through middle school and junior high and high school, and their paths would diverge, and then come back together, and it would be so magically unpredictable but at the same time, so incredibly fated, just like the best love stories are. Little did either of us know that Prince Charming for Britany would be the kid that sat next to me in class with a bowl cut and a Lego lunchbox.”

Later on in the video, Taylor Swift is shown speaking about her friendship with the bride. The two girls met when they were just 10-years-old and despite Swift’s mega singing sensation status, their friendship remains very important to her.

“My favorite accomplishment of my entire life is that everything in my life has changed except for me and Britany. She was my partner in crime in Brownies sleep-away-camp and she was my date to the Grammys.”

Along with delivering a speech that was a tribute to her friend, Taylor can also be seen in the video getting her groove on. Swift is shown with other pals dancing the night away. She is also seen taking the stage with other wedding guests to sing a song. Sadly, you can’t actually hear what the group is singing, but they all sure seem to be having one heck of a good time.

Taylor Swift documented parts of the wedding on Instagram, sharing a couple of photos that were important to her. One photo is of Swift and the bride looking fabulous. Another one was of the two friends when they were younger, and finally, there was a group shot from the wedding. It was obviously not only an important day for the bride and groom but for Taylor as well.

It was not just the wedding day that Swift captured on social media. The Grammy winner has shared some of the special milestones she shared with her friend as they geared up for the big day. This includes Taylor sharing just how Britany asked her to be maid of honor by sending the singer a sweet note penned by Maack with a photo of the two of them when they were younger. Another special moment was when Taylor and Britany went wedding dress shopping.

Taylor Swift may be an A-list celebrity, but last week, she was simply a maid of honor who watched her best friend marry her prince charming, It just goes to show that when it comes to friends, Swift is just like everyone else. Perhaps watching her friend tie the knot gave Swift a little wedding fever, and maybe one day soon, Britany will serve as maid of honor at Taylor wedding.
