Watch Manchester United Vs. Arsenal Live Online: Streaming Links, Gunners Hoping To Prove Title Credentials

Manchester United take on Arsenal in the Premier League.

Manchester United vs. Arsenal, one of the most hotly anticipated games of the season during the Premier League era, returns this Sunday with plenty at stake for both teams.

While Manchester United know nothing short of a win will help them initiate a last push for the top four, the game could be pivotal for Arsenal who have not won at Old Trafford in the league for almost a decade. If Arsenal are to win the Premier League title this season, these are the games they simply have to win.

The Gunners will be further boosted by the fact that this is perhaps as good a time as possible to face United, who are reeling under a number of serious injuries. With 14 first-team players out injured, United manager Louis van Gaal has rarely been under as much pressure as he is now, with most sport pundits expecting the Manchester United board to sack him before the season is over. If there is any way the Dutch manager can avoid that, it could be through helping the team regain an entry into Europe’s top-tier club competition.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger, who has seen his team fail to score for two consecutive games after winning in the last minute against leaders Leicester on Valentine’s Day, will hope that his team can return to top form against a team they thrashed 3-0 earlier in the season.

Arsene Wenger would hope his team can come back to form against a suffering Manchester United side.

Speaking at the pre-game press conference, Wenger said he expects his players to respond positively after a difficult midweek match against European champions Barcelona, which they lost 2-0 after Messi inspired Catalans to a famous win at the Emirates Stadium, according to Sky Sports.

“They will all get back (to their best).”

“We have to raise our level at the right moment. You want to raise your level and after, individually, the players will benefit from that.”

“At half-time against Leicester [losing 1-0], we were eight points behind them. Today we are two points behind. We have to take advantage of that.”

Alex-Oxlade Chamberlain is expected to be out for Arsenal for a few weeks, and he joins long-term absentees Tomas Rosicky, Santi Cazorla, and Jack Wilshere on the sidelines. For Manchester United, Anthony Martial is a doubt with a tight hamstring, while Louis van Gaal might also not be too keen to risk either David De Gea or Chris Smalling, considering United are still playing on three fronts.

Louis van Gaal will hope Manchester United can surprise Arsenal at Old Trafford on Sunday.

Speaking after Manchester United’s demolition of lowly Midtjylland in the Europa League, an ecstatic Louis van Gaal said that although the mood in the United dressing room was relaxed, he warned his team that Arsenal will present an entirely different level of competition, according to the Guardian.

“Arsenal away from home was the only time this season we have lost 3-0.”

“The media rated Midtjylland as not the most exciting opponent but I have another opinion. I have analysed Midtjylland and say it’s not so easy. They have a very organised defence, so in scoring five goals and creating 15 chances we played a fantastic game.”

“But we now have to do it against Arsenal. In my opinion Arsenal is another level.”
