Big Brother Canada: Two International Big Brother Icons to Enter House as Season 4 Wildcards

Big Brother Canada Season 4 is set to premiere in less than a week on March 2, 2016, and the house mates are ready to enter their new abode, with the exception of two, who will be chosen by the public to play the popular social game.

This season, producers will shake up the house by adding international Big Brother icons into the mix. One male icon and one female icon will be chosen from four prospective candidates to join the 14 houseguests, who may yet be unaware of this game-changing twist.

According to GlobalTV‘s “Big Brother Canada” website, one of those so-called icons is Jase Wirey, who was a memorable cast member from the fifth season of U.S. Big Brother, which took place in 2004. He also appeared on Big Brother season 7, which was an all star version of the long-running reality series. He has acted and even been Brad Pitt’s body double, according to GlobalTV. Edmonton Sun reports that Jace’s occupation is a sales and safety trainer and that he remains the only Big Brother houseguest to win the first Head of Household designation in two seasons of game play. Jace wants to teach the house mates a thing or two about navigating their way in the Big Brother house and while doing that, also wants to have fun.

Tim Dormer is competing against Jace to be the male icon chosen to enter the Big Brother Canada residence. Tim won Australia’s version of Big Brother in 2013 and enjoys being the life of the party. According to GlobalTV, Tim admits he may be annoying, but he was nonetheless victorious in the game just 3 years ago, which houseguests should not take lightly. The Edmonton Sun reports that Tim’s official occupation is a television personality and a model and that he has posed in Playboy‘s Italian edition.

One of the two female icons attempting to enter the Big Brother Canada house is Veronica Graf, who competed in Italy’s version of the reality show. According to GlobalTV, Veronica’s “…sexy appearance and lifestyle caused an uproar among her ‘Big Brother’ housemates and led to her becoming the most infamous houseguest ever.” According to Edmonton Sun, Veronica works as a television personality and a model, and like Tim, has posed in the Italian version of Playboy magazine. GlobalTV notes that she wants to make a “fresh start” in the Big Brother Canada house and hopes her fellow housemates will look past her appearance and be able to see “the heart of gold within.”

The final prospective house mate vying for the female icon spot is Nikki Grahame, who rose to fame after her stint on Big Brother in the UK. GlobalTV indicates that Nikki is not above raising a ruckus in the diary room and is quick to speak her mind honestly and without reservation. The website further notes that Nikki is a legend in the Big Brother realm, “…loved by her UK fans, and fans worldwide.” The Edmonton Sun reports the Nikki currently works as a television personality.

This season’s move to place international Big Brother icons in any house in the reality television franchise is the first ever, according to Global News. This means that none of the Big Brother houses that exist globally have ever introduced such a unique twist to the game.

Big Brother Canada is similar in many ways to its American cousin, with houseguests voting for who stays and who is evicted from the game. This is unique from the UK version in which the viewing audience decides who they want booted from the Big Brother house.

Also, the prize money given to the victor in the Canadian version of Big Brother is several hundred thousand less than the U.S. grand prize of $500,000. The Big Brother Canada winner will receive $100,000, a $25,000 gift card from a retailer called The Brick, and an OxiClean prize package worth $10,000, which also includes a wardrobe makeover, according to Global News.

Voting to choose Jase or Tim, and Veronica or Nikki as the contestant play the game ends in 6 days. The Big Brother Canada audience will learn who the wildcard icon house mate will be “…as reveals roll out during the first…week…” of the show, reports GlobalTV.
