Unlike Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson Keeping Links With One Direction PR

When One Direction announced their hiatus fans wondered if Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson, Niall Horan and Liam Payne would keep their links to Simon Cowell, Modest Management, and HJPR or move on. Harry Styles soon began to break with the old teams when he signed with Dawbell PR and left the firm that had done his press since the beginning of his career, as reported by Unreality TV.

It was not widely reported outside the PR industry, but HJPR actually dissolved soon after One Direction announced their break.

PR Week reported that the firm had "followed their client lead and split" in January.

London's HJPR was founded in 2003 by Simon Jones and Jonathan Hackford...A [December 2015] joint statement from Jones and Hackford said: "After 12-and-a-half years working together we have both decided that the time has come for us to part company and move on to new projects.
HJPR co-founder Simon Jones has been a source of controversy and amusement to some fans of One Direction -- controversy because of his alleged spearheading of a variety of PR cover-ups, amusement because of his leery facial expression as he stands behind Louis Tomlinson in one popular shot of the shirtless One Direction star.
Jones was believed by fans to be so involved in twisting and manipulating Louis Tomlinson's public image that some fans even refused to believe the words of Louis' childhood friend Stanley Lucas when Stan spoke up years ago saying that Louis and Eleanor Calder were not a PR couple. Louis eventually spoke up, too, saying that there is no changing the minds of certain conspiracy theorists, and that these people seem to be upset that he and Eleanor are happy.
HJPR may have dissolved, but Simon Jones is active with his own agency, Simon Jones PR. Jones took to Twitter to post a shot of Louis and Liam following One Direction's recent Brits win.
Louis' mum Johannah Deakin also posted to Simon prior to the Brits, saying she anticipated seeing the PR man there.
Many wondered why Harry Styles did not attend the Brits, with The Sun publishing a scathing piece accusing Styles of abandoning his bandmates.
In other One Direction news, Louis has spoken out about fatherhood again, saying to a Brits interviewer that it is "intense" and that the awards show is the first time he's been away from baby son Freddie. Goofy red carpet partner Liam Payne even managed to disrupt Louis' long-awaited response by sticking an extra mic in Louis' face and putting his bandmate and the interviewer off-balance for a moment.
Louis took to Instagram after the Brits to post an image of himself and Liam hamming for the camera. Louis literally "throws shade" at Liam, casting an interesting shadow over his bandmate's handsome face using the very award they have just won.

It is also believed that Louis attended a Sony Music UK Brits after-party. Some pictures of Louis in a limo with members of Little Mix have surfaced on social media.

Many people got a bit nostalgic about the One Direction's Brits history last night. 1D stylist Lou Teasdale gushed over a shot of herself alongside Harry Styles at the One Direction 2013 Brits appearance.
