Kathryn Edwards Discusses Her New Role On ‘RHOBH’ As Faye Resnick’s Drug Addiction Is Exposed
Kathryn Edwards is the newest member of the cast of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, and thus far, she appears to be liking her new reality gig.
Ahead of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Season 6, Kim Richards suffered an alcohol relapse, which led to her exit from the series, and producers opted to demote Brandi Glanville from her full-time role, which left room for two new ladies to join the Bravo show’s cast. Although rumors swirled regarding the potential return of former housewives, it was eventually Kathryn Edwards and Erika “Jayne” Girardi who were selected.
“I am friends with Lisa Vanderpump and I don’t think any of them [the women] are petty,” Edwards revealed to Page Six during an interview on February 23.
For years, the series has been known for its drama, but when it comes to Kathryn Edwards, she appears to have made some real friends on the show — and not just on-screen. That said, there have been a few bumps along the road.

Throughout the first half of the sixth season, Kathryn Edwards has been getting to know her co-stars, including Lisa Vanderpump, Lisa Rinna, Eileen Davidson, Kyle Richards, and Erika Girardi, and while she immediately hit it off with the majority of the women, Girardi was slightly more difficult. During one particular scene earlier this month, Kathryn Edwards was seen in a bit of a dispute with Girardi over her use of the “c-word.” Luckily, after speaking directly to Girardi about her dislike of the term, she was able to clear the air.
“I was adamant about the C-word. I understand it now, but I still don’t like it,” Edwards recalled.
On last week’s show, another tense conversation was had in regard to the missteps of former cast member Kim Richards.
The conversation “seemed really insensitive to me considering where Kim was,” Edwards noted.
Prior to the start of filming on Season 6, Kim Richards was arrested at the Beverly Hills Hotel, where she reportedly got drunk and became a disturbance to the fellow patrons. In turn, police were called, and when all was said and done, she was arrested and charged with public intoxication, resisting an officer and battery on an officer.
As the season continues, fans will watch as Kathryn Edwards and her co-stars travel to Dubai, and if she’s asked back for season seven, she hopes to be a part of even more special moments with her new friends.
“Going to Dubai with all the ladies was a great memory,” Kathryn Edwards dished. “Some of them might not feel the same way.”

In other news, Kathryn Edwards’ fellow Bravo star, Faye Resnick, who accused her ex-husband, Marcus Allen, of having an affair with Nicole Brown Simpson prior to her death, has opened up about her struggles with addiction in her tell-all book about Simpson’s murder.
“I’d slipped back into [snorting] and smoking coke two or three times a day, and mellowing the drug’s hard edge with Valium,” Resnick wrote in her 1994 book, according to a February 23 report by Radar Online.
According to the report, Simpson, along with Kris Jenner and her then-husband Bruce, now known as Caitlyn, held an intervention for Resnick, and as a result, she began a treatment program at the Exodus Recovery Center in Los Angeles. Then, just three days into her rehab stint, she discovered Brown had been murdered.
“A force like I’ve never felt shuddered over me,” Resnick wrote. “The two counselors rushed to grab me as I went into convulsions. I was babbling, shrieking like a wild woman!”
