Kris Jenner Was Booed While Introducing Boy George: Is It Part Of A Trend?
Kris Jenner was booed and loudly jeered at, as she introduced Boy George and Culture Club. Kris continued to speak despite the overwhelming den of boos, at the iHeart radio sponsored concert featuring 1980s music. No one anticipated the crowd’s reaction, and the management and staff of iHeart were both shocked and taken off guard.
Kris Jenner looked stunning in a Saint Laurent black tuxedo with a white lace blouse. She had mounted the stage with confidence and obviously had no idea she was about to be verbally ambushed by the crowd, as described by Daily Mail. She had been very excited about going to the concert, and looked forward to seeing Boy George. Even as she was booed, she continued her speech as planned. No one could hear her, despite stage crew turning up her microphone, and trying in vain to quiet the angry crowd. Despite however hurt or embarrassment Kris felt, she continued to extol Boy George exactly as planned.

Kris Jenner getting booed was obviously not related to Boy George. As soon as the band came out, everyone started cheering. The boos were just for Kris. There was no clear reason why, but we do know that Kris’s ex, Caitlan Jenner, received a standing ovation for her introduction of Boy George back in July. So is this booing phenomenon limited to only Kris? Absolutely not. Kendall and Kylie were accosted with boos and jeers at the 2015 Billboard Awards according to this Hollywood Life video.
So Kris Jenner isn’t the only one in the family getting booed, according to Daily Mail. Khloe Kardashian and Kendall Jenner were both booed at a Clippers game in May, 2015, just because a stadium Jumbotron camera caught them for a moment. Camera Techs quickly panned ahead to avoid embarrassment as soon as the reaction started. The girls were obviously flustered and embarrassed by the crowd’s hostile reaction. The girls were just sitting court-side, not calling attention to themselves at all, when an entire stadium lit up with jeering, cat calls, and boos.
Kris Jenner and her daughters seem unsure of why this is happening. With millions of fans, why are so many people among the general public so hostile toward the Jenner and Kardashian girls? Was it their less than enthusiastic reaction to Bruce becoming Caitlyn? Is it simply jealousy or moral outrage at their unusual lifestyle? For whatever reason, Caitlyn isn’t experiencing any of this hatred, only her ex-wife and daughters. Do people think they are defending Caitlyn somehow? No one has interviewed people in the booing crowd so no one really knows why the Kardashian and Jenner women are being so abused by audiences in such diverse places.
Kris Jenner and her daughters are becoming very controversial. While some people love them, others love to hate them apparently. Perhaps when any family opens up their life to camera crews and constant surveillance, it is inevitable that some of the audience will be offended by what they see. Families are different and it might be difficult for families who live differently to relate to the Kardashian and Jenner situation. Still it remains unclear exactly what has changed the public’s opinion about the family so radically.
