Usher’s Stepson Taken Off Life Support, Kile Glover Passes Away

Usher’s 11-year-old stepson passed away Saturday morning from injuries sustained in a tragic jet ski accident in Georgia on July 8th.

TMZ reports that doctors removed Kile Glover from life support early this morning, after they determined his injuries were too severe to overcome. Kile’s mother, Tameka Foster, struggled substantially with the decision to take him off of life support.

Kile Glover was injured on July 8th when the inner tube he was riding in was hit by a jet ski driven by a family friend. Glover’s mother, Tameka, made the incredibly difficult decision after being told that he likely would not recover. The family’s insurance covered has also expired, making the family unable to pay medical bills needed to keep young Kile on life support.

Foster and Usher married in August 2007, according to The Huffington Post. They divorced in 2009 after less than two years of marriage, and were involved in a drawn out and nasty custody battle over their two sons, Usher Raymond V and Naviyd Ely Raymond.

Despite their past, however, Usher has reportedly been incredibly supportive of Foster, supplying her with a charter plane, and also flying down to Georgia himself to spend time with the family.

Zap2It reports that Glover’s death was first reported by family friends Frank Ski and DJ Greg Street, who stated:

Despite there being no official confirmation of Kile Glover’s death from either Usher of Tameka Foster, Rolling Stone notes that their celebrity friends are already taking to Twitter to express their condolences. Toni Braxton wrote, “My heart and prayers are with Tameka Usher and their families. I’m sorry for your lost, I’m here for both of you. From my family to yours,” and Eric Benet added, “Sending my deepest condolences to Usher and Tameka Raymond..and to family and friends of Kile Glover #RIPKile.”
