Demi Lovato Fans Upset Singer Wasn’t Given More Time In Lionel Richie Tribute At Grammys 2016

Demi Lovato took part in a tribute for Lionel Richie alongside John Legend, Luke Bryan, Meghan Trainor, and Tyrese Gibson. Even though the pop star blew away everyone at the event and at home, her performance still left many of her fans underwhelmed.

Demi Lovato wowed everyone on Monday night when she performed Lionel Richie’s hit song “Hello” at the Grammys. Still, that wasn’t enough to please Lovato’s fans who think the singer wasn’t given enough screen time during her performance. Some wondered why the 23-year-old singer couldn’t perform the entire song herself.

According to the Mirror, Demi Lovato’s fans think that the other musicians should have let her have her moment. One tweeted: “#DemiLovato should of performed so much longer she was phenom #GRAMMYs” (sic)

Another wrote: “Demi Lovato really came through tho she should’ve sang the whole song and let the rest of them to have a seat.” (sic)

Everyone agrees that Demi was the one who killed it with her rendition of “Hello.” Some fans think that the singer is someone who obviously has a lot of talent, but is still underrated and underappreciated in the music industry. No matter what, Demi managed to amaze everyone with the little time she was given.

Even Richie himself was impressed when he witnessed her performance from the audience. The legendary singer pumped his hands in the air and mouthed, “Yes.”

Fellow pop star Katy Perry took to Twitter to show Lovato some love and support, as well.

Towards the end of the tribute, Lionel Richie hopped out from the audience to perform with the rest of the singers to sing his classic hit, “All Night Long.” Check out the full tribute below in the video.

Prior to the Grammys, Demi Lovato revealed to E! Online that it was her first time attending the awards ceremony.

“I’ve never been before, and it’s because a long time ago my manager told me, ‘You should wait to go to the Grammys until you’re presenting, nominated or performing.’ So here I am performing, and I’m excited.”

Not only did Demi Lovato manage to blow everyone away during the Grammys, but she also killed it on the red carpet before the show. The “Confident” singer was dressed up in all black on the 2016 Grammy Awards red carpet. Lovato wore a black Norisol Ferrari blazer with a matching black maxi skirt with a high slit. She paired her look with a Loree Rodkin body chain, large rings, and dark long locks.

According to recent reports, Demi Lovato also wore a million dollars worth of diamonds with her sexy red carpet look. During the Lionel Richie tribute, the singer changed into a white blazer and black pants adorned with a sparkling diamond necklace, valued at $2.4 million.

Unfortunately, it’s not an engagement ring from Demi’s longtime boyfriend, Wilmer Valderrama. The singer had to deny the engagement rumors yet again. Around Valentine’s Day, Demi shared a photo of her hand holding Wilmer’s and wearing a new diamond ring.

She wrote the following.

“You are my world, my life, my best friend, my love and my purpose. I love you so much Wilmer…y’all are crazy btw…That is my RIGHT hand and my MIDDLE finger. I am NOT engaged.”

Lovato took it well, though. Included with her caption was an emoji laughing. The couple just celebrated their six years of dating last month, making fans wonder when and if they will ever walk down the aisle. Maybe Lovato should continue to focus on her music career, since her performance proved that she has so much talent that she needs to share with the world.
